I love this Hobby Lobby! Even though we live about half way in-between Harrison and Mountain Home, it seems most of our business is always in Mountain Home. Of course, I do enjoy going to the Hobby Lobby in MH. Let's be honest; Is there even such a thing as a horrible Hobby Lobby store? But, whenever we have a need to go into Harrison, stopping at the Hobby Lobby, there is the highlight of my day!
I don't know what it is about that particular store that I love so much. Both stores have wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. But there is just something refreshing about the Harrison store.
Maybe it has to do with the fact the Harrison store has a different layout. The flowers and sewing sections are featured right as you walk inside. All the seasonal and holiday items are on the other side of the store. Something about this layout feels more relaxing and less anxiety inducing. Instead of being bombarded with holiday shelves and crowds right as you walk inside, I feel like I have time to adapt to a new setting from my car and outside, instead of being overwhelmed right off the bat with the potential of crowds and noise as everyone browses all the "holiday pretties" before heading to what ever area houses the actual items they stopped in to get. I think because of this, I always find things that I probably overlook at the MH store.
The parking at the Harrison store also feels safer and much more convenient, not that MH is unsafe by any means. It's just a feeling, I don't know how else to describe it.
I know people are either a fan of or really dislike Hobby Lobby in general, and I understand why. I am one of those who love all Hobby Lobby stores. To each their own. So, I will continue to enjoy visiting both the MH and Harrison stores, just with a little more relaxed and joyful exploration when going to the one...
Read moreI go into this location to pick up a poster board and a few other things. And I noticed a woman with a name tag she was adjusting shelves so I assumed that she worked there and she had a service dog on a leash beside her. So I was going to go up to ask her a question and I addressed her dog and said hey buddy and stuck my hand out so he could smell me before I asked the question and she rudely yank the dog back and said please don't do that. And I said okay and walked off. I found what I needed and at the checkout counter I asked if the woman with the service dog work there. The woman at the counter verified that she did. So you have an employee that has no physical limitations but mentally she has to have a dog around here all day I assume to feel normal. I will just say that if you can't go out of the house emotionally without having a dog with you you dont need a service dog you need a psychology...
Read moreHobby lobby is great. They have a good blend of home decor and craft supplies so that you can either buy it premade or get done inspiration and then pick up supplies to make it yourself. They always have something on sale, but you shouldn't buy big ticket items here because hobby lobby no longer accepts coupons and you'll die before your crop a dile or the actual cricut machine that you want goes on sale. Their check out system also means that odds are good that you will wait a little longer in line and that some of your sale items will ring up wrong and have to be redone. But the ladies that work there are always friendly and mostly helpful so you probably won't be...
