Personally, we were taken care of, sorta. Waitress forgot a couple things. Husband ordered a dinner chimichanga, waitress brought out a (in her own words) "lunch" chimichanga. Charged for a dinner. While we ate, more ppl walked in, they were sat. While later 2 more people walked in, and then began a very embarrassing scene. The waitress grabbed menus and silverware but didn't know where to put them because it "appeared " it was just her and 1 other server. She said hang on and walked away to the back, where I can Only assume she was trying to figure out whos table this would be. 2-3 minutes later... her lack of action for deciding, ultimately made these 2 people walk out. Did NOT help that the 3rd waitress loudly proclaimed in smiles and laughs that she could Not take anymore "NOPE! you already know! I was supposed to leave at 3, NOPE! You already know!" I CRINGED hearing her going On and On in front of guests, such unprofessional representation for the restaurant. Will say, at least the server that was helping us, same one that tried sitting the 2 person table but didn't in time, She was nice and courteous and seems like she is...
Read moreNopalitos recently reopened after an extensive remodel. Friends and I went there for dinner to try out the new place. It took a very long time to have our orders taken and a long time for the food to arrive. When the food was placed on the table, it smelled like burned cheese. It tasted even worse and permeated everything on our plates. I ordered cheese enchiladas (How do you mess up that?) with half red sauce and half cheese sauce. They arrived with only the burned cheese. They were also so tough that they could not be cut. It was like shoe leather---AWFUL! There was no attempt to rectify our orders.
But that is not all. The waitress gave each of the couples at the table their own charge; and we went to pay. A tip was added to the card. Two days later, we discovered that the charge to the card had been upped...more than what we received a receipt for.
All ten of us who were present that night will never again patronize Nopalitos in...
Read moreWell, tonight is the last time we eat here. Food is pretty standard for this type of Mexican food in Harrison, but the staff is always more eager to leave than serve. We typically have a large group and tonight, after 11 of us sat down at 7:05, our waitress said “we will be closing in 30 minutes, do you think you’ll be done by then?” What?? You sat us, the online hours say 8:30. We informed her that we will be done when we’re done and if they didn’t want to serve us, we should not have been seated. Sadly, the online hours are inaccurate and regardless, they’re trying to leave even earlier. She stood behind us to wait on us to leave at 8:05…. And there were still at least 10 other patrons in the restaurant. As a group, 3 families, we decided this will be our last trip...
