El Mexico Lindo Restaurante — Restaurant in Harrison

First time visiting. Food was good. Service was absolutely horrible. They were busy during lunch which seemed normal. Our blue-haired server seemed put out just to be serving us. We placed our order and the food was brought out by another person. We asked them for more salsa and refills when our food was delivered. We waited and waited for a good 5 minutes and cups were empty the whole time. We didn't see the girl who brought our food out or our blue-haired server so I went to look for someone to get us salsa and refills. When our server came out of the kitchen she saw me and asked what I needed. I told her that we needed more salsa and refills of our drinks. My coworker, whom I was dining with thought he read on the menu that his meal was supposed to come with rice and beans. When he asked for rice and beans she got obviously irritated and said that beans and rice didn't come with the tacos he ordered. He said he thought that was what it read on the menu. She said "Okay, wait" and disappeared from the table only to return with a menu to prove that she was right. He said "okay" and showed her where he saw it on the menu but it was under another meal option above his taco plate. By this time she was so obviously mad that she snatched the menu out of his hands and walked away and didn't offer to get them for him. She should have just said that she would get him rice and beans for an upcharge. She didn't, though. She snatched the menu out of his hands and as she was walking away she turned around and glared at him and shook her head. She brought our ticket back left to help another table. Just tried this place for the first time tonight, so glad we did! Best Mexican food I've had in a long time, and the prices are so reasonable. The service was perfect, someone seemed to check on us right when we were about to need something (without being at all intrusive). They kept us topped up on chips and salsa, took our orders quickly, and the food came out fast too!

The salsa was a great blend of mild but flavorful (i'm a total wuss with spicy food, so this was perfect for me), the chips were warm and tasty, and they don't skimp on portions. We both generally eat a lot so we were worried going in that the meals might be small, especially for the low prices we saw on the menu, but that was definitely NOT the case. We both were very full by the time we left and had enough leftovers for an entire other meal later.

Oh, and the guacamole was very yummy. I personally have only recently begun to like avocado at all, and guacamole I generally don't enjoy the flavor of, but this stuff was perfect to me. Not overly flavored with a bunch of add-in stuff, but still fresh and flavorful, had to stop myself from eating the whole bowl. I’m not the biggest fan of this place anymore. Now that they have moved buildings, it seems like the service just isn’t the same. I got a to go order and ordered a shredded chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. I only get shredded chicken from there because I have a sensitive stomach. The fajita chicken and beef tend to hurt my stomach but the shredded chicken from there doesn’t hurt my stomach. So, the lady on the phone then repeated my order back and it was correct when she repeated it. I got the food, went home, and was very disappointed with what I saw. Fajita chicken quesadilla with a small amount of rice and no beans. I ate it anyway but definitely paid for it later. I had stomach pains the rest of the night. I was pretty sad about not getting the beans because I actually really like their beans from here. Also, the last few times I have been there, the workers seem more interested in standing around and talking then actually seating you or refilling your drinks or chips.
