Anthony's Fashion — Local services in Hartford

My sister- in-law brought her $1800 wedding dress to Anthony’s fashion shop beginning of June 2021, hoping she would happily get it back on time and most importantly with all the alterations properly done. However, in August 2021, she went to the store to pick up the dress and found out that the alterations had not been done correctly and on top of that the dress had been completely ruined! She never got the chance to even put the dress on that the tulle of the dress was totally RIPPED and he tried to hide it by putting glue on it ! All this only three weeks before the wedding!!! (She had to purchase another dress) The owner of the store who ruined the dress himself refuses to reimburse her for the alteration costs as well as to reimburse her for the dress and above all has the nerve to first tell her that it’s ok she still will have a wonderful wedding and that she must not forget to say that “she has gained weight because she just had a baby and that's why the dress didn't fit” before to write a review !!!

In addition to not taking responsibility for his own mistakes and not reimbursing clients, this guy is very unprofessional and in no case should have the right to carry on any businesses as well as to NOT reimburse the money of his clients who come to see him with confidence in the first place. Please, if you were considering to use his services = DON’t , and please find the time to look for a REAL professional !!! We want to make sure that any client that considers using his services will know what to expect! Don’t forget that this type of cases can also be taken to the small claim department in order to get your money back and prevent people from scamming...

To the owner of this store which is ANTHONY. They didn’t call the cop you did, and I didn’t scare them you just never opened the door for them because you went to you basement and never came back up. You never knew they were there because you never came up and I never have used tailoring before but a lot of people around you and that have used your service even other people in the same industry says your work is trash and my clothes were sewed real thin to where you did the alterations there are huge gaps where I can see through. I didnt threaten you or anything I just simply kept banging on the door until you opened. Don’t be a liar and say the truth Anthony YOU CALLED THE COPS because you don’t like confrontation and didn’t want to deal with me a PAYING CUSTOMER now that I have my clothes back and brought it to another tailor so they can repair where you failed at. Also I can officially say now that I’ve used your service. That your work is trash and your very very unprofessional. I highly don’t recommend this guy at all. $200 for 7 shirts what a joke and it’s not even...

His service is trash. Told me to bring documents so I can get my refund. I did and he said he started on my clothes already once I brought him the letter. I understand the no refund policy but gave me the run around just because he thought I wasn’t going to get the document and I did then tell me he started on my clothes already so it’s to late then tells me I have to wait until he talks to his fake co owner because he is THE ONLY OWNER. Then as I leave to make a call he locks the door behind me. He closes at 7 and I was knocking on his door since 5. He even denied another customer because he didn’t want to talk to me. Then blames me for “running away his customer.” calls the cops than rather talk to me and be a man and a professional business man instead of go to his basement and ignore me for 2 hours to then call the cops when he has to go.
