Trinity has a really nice campus and it's legendary to people who live in the area so it's sad to say that their students seem to be entitled and privileged. What gets me is this same population claims to be deterred from being in this city when the city is promoting events and attempting to better itself but the same types of people send their children here to go to school and think that their children have a right to behave anyway they want. These children have a lack of respect for the surroundings around them and what is considered to be other people's homes. So when Trinity students are visiting the local convenience stores and places to eat such as campus Pizza the school should be more involved. Your students are disrespectful and a sad addition to Hartford. They are entitled they are rude and they are inconsiderate when dealing amongst us people who live and pay taxes in this city. Apparently Trinity students think that they can do it as they please and there's no repercussions but Trinity knows that's not the case. What sad is when people defend themselves out here you would be quick to highlight a story saying that one of your students was wrongfully attacked. Your students are a disgrace and disgust to my community. And what is the purpose of your security if 30 of your students are inside of a pizza shop being drunk and belligerent. What justice are you doing them by being on the campus and your campus security not checking to see what behaviors they are displaying on the streets of Hartford? Campus security is always where your students aren't. Trinity in my eyes no longer get the same credit or recognition it did 20 years ago because your values changed and money became more important. At this point many students who couldn't get into that school before because of GPA...
Read moreMy experience in seeking a second Masters degree at 83 is a bit unusual, but brings a very long memory of historical events to the American Studies Program as taught at Trinity. Without exception, my professors were outstanding, forcing us to examine our prejudices while examining the facts and theories that constitute our nation's "history." My fellow students, both graduate and undergraduate were smart, hardworking and thoughtful in their contributions to class discussions. The readings were wide ranging, challenging, stimulating and, for the most part, fun.
To gild a wonderful experience, the librarians are wizards, the food in the cafeteria is excellent and the campus is gorgeous. For all its reputation as a party school, Trinity attracts -- and educates -- serious students whose lives will ever be enriched by their experiences on...
Read moreTrinity college is a vibrant small Ivy League college also known as the second oldest in Connecticut. Trinity is a beautiful campus in a city with a small town feel. I appreciated the cultural awareness and freedom from it's students to pursue and invoke change. I admire the ability and freedom students have when conducting the research or topic that is pertinent to the. I love the opportunities Trinity has to offer to all its students. Furthermore, I would like to acknowledge the extensive and profound work of Professor, Johnny Williams. His historic knowledge and intellect are imperative during these times of inequality. I believe understanding history and social justice issues solidify the potential for change. I am a passionate parent, educator, activist, and advocate for improving the quality of lives...
