Ditto on 1 Star ! I am a licensed HVAC contractor. I submitted a claim with video for a customer to these people. Clear as day leaking condenser coil on 8 year old unit installed by another contractor. Claim denied ! It is not considered a mechanical failure ? Hmmm let me get this straight ?? A coil that is designed to hold pressure (R-22) developes a pin hole non-repair able leak in the aluminum coil and it's not a mechanical failure. Tricky wording if you ask me. Yes I installed a new unit for her and she paid in full. No problem there. The problem I have is this customer bought into the policy believing the HVAC would be covered if equipment was properly maintained. Only to be thrown under the bus when coverage is needed. I am a Industry Expert C20 Licensed contractor in the State of California and it amazes me to have a adjuster tell me what type of failure occurred on a part. Really dude, why don't you fly to California meet me on the site to view the equipment before determining what type of failure occurred. I find this very disturbing and shame on you for taking advantage of this person. Get some qualified adjusters that truly understand the mechanics of HVAC. Mechanically the condenser coil is responsible for sub-cooling the refrigerant, when it starts leaking it is a Mechanical Failure...
Read moreThe absolute worst company I’ve dealt with. They are a middleman for other insurance companies and have zero customer support. The claim adjuster was rude and insulting. I was asked to supply documentation on why my walk-in broke. After supplying the documents from the company that has been certified to diagnose and repair refrigeration, it wasn’t enough. They refused to accept that things break. Internal parts break and there sometimes is no explanation other than “the part failed”. Companies like this do not deserve the business and they give other quality insurance companies a bad reputation. I hope that I never have to deal with them ever again and I hope they go out...
Read moreIf there was a possibility of giving a negative star rating or less than a zero rating for this company, I would have done so. This company is a complete scam hiding under the canopy of State Farm to deceive people and get their money in the name of home warranty coverage. When you submit a claim, they stop taking phone calls from you and will always want to look for every flimsy excuse not to cover for your equipment damage. If you want to be having nightmares in the name of a home warranty or insurance company, go for these guys and live to tell the tail. Words can not express how disappointing and disgusting...
