Cowboy Maloney's — Local services in Hattiesburg

By far the worst shopping experience and rudest salesman (Don Page) we've ever had. We were purchasing several kitchen appliances for our custom built house which is nearing completion, and we were recommended to deal with Cowboy Maloney's because they give contractor prices for bulk purchases like this. We received a quote for about $13,000 (including installation). Almost every appliance in the package were priced hundreds of dollars over the price any other appliance shop gave- THE SAME EXACT APPLIANCE. A quick google search of the model numbers would give you this information. Went to BestBuy and was quoted $11,900 including installation AND we were told the cooktop model quoted from Cowboy Maloney's was discontinued even though we specifically asked for the most up to date models. The Best Buy price includes the updated cooktop. So Cowboy Maloney basically gave us the MSRP price for everything except a freezer.

I took the price list to Don Page at Cowboy Maloney this morning to see if he can even get close to the prices any other appliance store would advertise- even willing to pay a little extra to deal locally and support the local business. Well I kid you not: A couple minutes into showing him the absurdly different price quotes to Don Page, he vigorously scribbles with a pen all over the price quote he gave us and tensely proclaims "JuST cAncEl, caNCeL, CANCEL it!" and swiftly walks away like he needed to use the restroom real badly. Will never walk into that place again. Rudest and most unprofessional salesperson I've ever...

Being in retail sales my evaluation of the service was slow on the front end as we walk around a lil while before we were addressed for assistance by a guy who walked on the floor and to the back off the sales floor .. A tall younger caucasian male who at that time ask if we needed help and i let him know we were looking at present . And he walked away . A second gentleman helping a customer greeted us when we entered his area of the refrigerators and asked if someone was helping us . My mom responded the other guy ask if we needed help but we are still looking .. So after a bit Lori came over and i had made of my mind on three sept appliance items in the whirlpool brand ( Stove, microwave & refrigerator) . So she did a few checks and found no new boxes item for the microwave, then the stove . So i inquired about a discount on the display items but she stated there was no discount.. So i had thought to just look elsewhere and actually pulled up a few places online on my phone while there to visit . Then Lori suggested checking another brand since i wanted all there the same brand name . And we were able to do the three items of choice in the GE brand and they would be available to deliver next week. So we were able to complete the selection and complete the transaction even adding extended 4 year warranty on all 3 appliances since she stated they only had a 1 year warranty. Which was a shock as i thought the would have at least had a 2-3 year warranty. It has been a while since i purchased any...

I want to leave a review about this store. Apparently me and father just had a bad experience at this store a day ago . We went there trying to get a stove repaired because the eyes on the stove keep on malfunctioning . He purchased this stove almost a year ago with the warranty . While we was at the store Cowboy Maloney has NOT give us any good Service on the warranty . So we decided to go Best Buy and buy a stove there and we was satisfied , Thank you Best Buy. After we left the area I decided to check the reviews on COWBOY MALONEY to see if there was anyone had the negative experience at this store as I look , I was surprise the amount of negative and bad reviews about this store . While I was reading everyone's review, everybody seems to had the same similar issue .The most common one of all is the warranty on appliances and two the lacking of customer Service.My mistake was I should have check the review before I start making a purchase . If anyone is reading this that want to buy good quality appliances my recommendation Lowe's ,Home Depot or Best Buy .
