Super King Buffet — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

The service was fine.

The Hibachi was delicious. The meat was so tender. The best I've had in Mississippi to date!

I went at 1pm on a Wednesday after lunch rush and the sushi was pretty wiped out. They didn't really replenish it while I was there. So a few dishes remained empty. Probably because they close between 230pm and 500 Tuesday thru Thursday. Which blows my mind but okay! Must not be profitable then.

I'm posting a photo of the bathroom. If you eat out a lot and want to know things about the place immediately, check the restroom. IYKYK

I liked the fact they had non traditional items, like lumpia on the buffet. The ribs were delicious. Steam blows up on almost all the buffet tables so the food is plenty warm.

Desserts aren't sweet sweet. Asian food simply doesn't sweeten their desserts. I lived in Asia for a couple years. They don't use sugar like we do here, lol. But I give it a go every time just in case. That was the only thing I put on my plate I didn't eat. (Which is good because they have aggressive signs over all their buffet tables saying to EAT EVERYTHING YOU TAKE. And then some info about food waste.)

I don't really have an opinion on the signage. I'm sure they see a lot of waste and I'd probably do the same thing. Who knows.

Talk about a witch! I just finished chemo at the cancer center and on top of it all its my birthday today so my husband asked me what I wanted to eat before the chemo sickness kicks in so I picked chinese becausewe had not been there in a year. The waitress walks over to our table to tell us to pay now and we said we weren't quite through yet she got really rude and said you have to pay now and go it's 3:00 pm well hell we had no idea they closed at 3:00 so my husband said ok and pulled the card out to pay then she rudely snatched our card then came back and watched him sign the receipt and then snatched the pen an receipt out of his hand and yelled something in Chinese as she walked back to the register we knew she was saying something ugly because then she walked over to the other worker and started talking like she had an attitude.This was totally uncalled for if they didn't want to allow us to finish our meal then just tell us they were closing at 3:00 when we first came in. WILL NEVER GO BACK! This is not the first time they have been rude it happened one other time about a year ago guess some things...

Update: On my last visit, food was great as usual but we had an issue. My niece lost her baby's pacifier somewhere in the restaurant. We are pretty sure it either fell under the table or was left on the table. It was attached to a cord with beads and a clip. We realized it was gone on the way to the car so my niece went back to get it and could not find it. We took the babies to the car and I waited there while she went back to speak to our server who had been really nice during our meal. The server became condescending, yanking the table out and moving the salt and pepper shakers on the table saying "not there, see?". She finally called to someone else to talk to my niece. Niece explained and asked the man if she could look for the pacifier in the trash, and he said no, but that he would go look for her. She saw him go look in the bin, touch nothing, and come back. He told her it was not there. I guess I can understand not allowing a customer to dig in the trash...but in a situation like this, seems like they could have made an exception. And that server sure didn't need to be so...
