TCG BUYERS BEWARE. First, I hope people read this before a kid goes in, sees these cards, and gets took the same way I did. People who commit this type of fraud and theft, and those who allow it to happen, ruin people's collecting experience or for some people, destroy their interest in a positive TCG hobby altogether. Secondly, I will say the lady who runs the store has always been nice. I've been here a few times and have always had a good experience with the exception of today. There was a stall selling PokƩmon cards and had some high value cards in a case. In this instance, a Champion's path Charizard VMAX (Secret) and a Charizard V (Secret), IYKYK, for $75 a piece, which is a really great price for each. This should have been my first clue, but I'm a MTG player, not a PokƩmon player, so all I saw was a deal. Thankfully it wasnt some kid coming in getting all excited and dropping their birthday money or something. I asked the guy behind the register to look at them, and showed him how they were way below market value, and he told me, "Yeah, he's usually pretty fair on his pricing." Thankfully I only bought one. Took it to my LGS and was immediately told to get my money back as it was very clear it was fake. I went back and told the owner I'm aware of the no return policy, however, this is fake and purchased only on the premise it was real. I was kind of given a shrug and half hearted smile, and basically told, "If it's not marked as authentic, it's not false advertising." She did however nicely offer to go talk to the stall owner and see what he said and if anything can be done. When she returned I got the same half hearted smile as she shook her head and said, "Yeah sorry, he said the same thing," followed by, "He said he talked to you." The guy who showed me the cards OWNED THE STALL. While there was no "false advertising" there were, for obvious reasons (fraud), no "as is" or "reproduction" signs either. He knew I thought they were real, and made no attempt to correct me. I mean, why would he? He was hooking a sucker for $75. He kept his mouth shut as if he was agreeing it was a great deal, encouraging me to buy a fake card that was priced to look/seem real. He was sneaky and dishonest right to my face, and did this as both an employee of the store, and as a stall owner. Now, I'm not saying this applies to all their vendors or the owner, just stall 1313 in particular. Lastly, just be aware when buying TCG cards from here in regards to their authenticity that due to the store's "No return/refund" policy they will NOT make the situation right, regardless of the circumstances. Even if it was one of their own employees, or the optics it puts on the store by allowing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's always fun just looking for deals, but even better when you find some. That's what this place is all about. Yes looking around, with lots of merchandise to choose from with so many vendors, it's easy to find something for all ages and styles. I rarely give 5 stars, but have been to this location a few times so far and they have never disappointed, and the staff are always friendly. Also not sure if they will continue this, but they have started having auctions on...
