Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Havelock

FYI- This location takes walk up orders in the front and orders through the Drive Thru Menu board located on the right side of the building. If you pass the menu board and wait in line, unfortunately you’re more than likely going to be told to drive around and order from the menu board. The employees make the orders in ORDER. If you disrupt the line to give the order at the pickup window it causes all orders to get backed up and literally the ones that were already made sitting to be handed out to melt. A lot of customers do not realize that when they are sitting in line for a long period of time it is bc the line has been disrupted and while they’re making orders from those who did not order at the drive thru menu board and the employees went ahead and took the order at the pick up window bc the customer was upset and giving attitude and the employees are just trying to fix the situation, the employees literally have to go and remake orders that were already made bc they’ve started to melt. So in all when you skip the menu board where you’re supposed to order, the employees will most likely tell you to drive around and place your order there to keep the flow running smoothly and so the ice creams are in order and not melting. Most of you have no idea the rudeness and the hateful words that are spoken to these kids daily. They get called names, they get belittled, they even get threatened! Everyone acts so entitled...

I had to give 1 star to post review...been a few years since i have been to this DQ, i must say it ranks up there as the worst i have eaten at. The owner (same as New Bern DQ should be embarrassed about the quality of the food and the attitude of the staff. Ordered 4 blizzards, 2 people in the car. So runny, couldnt even flip the blizzard as they are supposed to, the level of the blizzard was above the cup without a lid on it, she wiped it before handing to us, didnt offer a lid, I had to ask for a cup tray, got the eye roll, psshhhh and shut the window to get the cup holder. when she passed the cup holder with 2 blizzards, they were already running faster than Usaine Bolt in the olympics. These employees want 15 bucks an hour??!! or more, act like you want to work and serve a great product to earn it. The owner should be banned from owning DQ as this location is poor representation of what DQ should be. 5 stars for the best...

Tried ordering at the walk up window to be told They can’t take my order because The computer is down. Got back in the car with the kids and waited 20 Minutes to go through drive through torture. Oh and no chocolate ice cream available. We waited While other patrons orders were taken at the window. And filled. We sat in drive through line like idiots watching walk up orders being filled. Was fun explaining that to the kids why everyone else was getting their ice cream while We sat in line. Not Sure why I was not allowed to Place an order at the window and all the others who came after me could. Maybe I didn’t LOOK like the others. Maybe ? Maybe not? If I did not have the kids with me I would not have stayed. Profoundly disappointed with the discrimination ! Never ever again Will I eat at this...
