KFC — Restaurant in Havelock

Horrible customer service, lots of eye rolls from the shift lead. No one told us why our food was taking so long. It took 50+ minutes from the time we ordered to the time we finally got our food and then it was shoved towards me by the shift lead Malika L. Today I Ordered at 5:07 and then walked into KFC. It said it would be ready at 5:15. Cool. There were 5 employees standing around with customers waiting at the front. They saw us but still didn’t do anything except walk by. No one helped or even acknowledged any of us. At 5:25 ish I had to ask several times for any one of the 5 employees to respond. I Asked to speak to a manager. No one responded. I pointed out the young lady wearing a different colored shirt (shift lead) and asked them to get her. Malika L at the Havelock NC store wouldn't come up to the front until I asked someone else to please have her come out to speak to a customer. I got eye rolls! I asked where our food is because 10 other people have come in and got their food, it’s been over 30 minutes for our food, and there are chicken piece on the warmer tray things. We orders a 8 piece chicken. She walked back and continued working. I asked what the hold up is. She rolled her eyes again and looked at another employee and asked how much longer for the chicken. She said its another 10-15 minutes. By this point we have already waited 30-40 minutes. I just asked for a refund. She said I have to do it online. I asked how. She said I dont know. I asked if she could find out. She said no. I asked for her manager and she said no one. I said whats your corporate number. She said she doesn't know and that I have to look it up online. I asked her for a managers name and phone number and she said she doesnt know. I asked for corporates number, she said she doesnt know. When questioning her about not knowing her managers name she then said she is not allowed to give that information out. Well when will they be in? She said she can’t give that information out. She went in the back and called someone and then 10 minutes later she came back and handed me a piece of paper with a number on it and walked away. I asked what this was and she mumbled something. I asked again and she said it’s to the store. That I need to call that number. I stated this store that we are in. She said yes call that number to speak to a manager. I said you just told me they are not here so if I were to call and ask to speak to a manager no one is here so that was pointless.

Having teenagers or young adults running a place without any supervision, no accountability and severe lack of customer service shows what type of place this is and what their levels of acceptable is. When young adults are in a position of being in charge and doesn’t understand a little goes a long way and how to approach, speak, and treat customers is ridiculous. This generation has no respect or service focused. If you work in a service industry you need to know the aspects of it all. Many of the customers were stating it is always like this. Very unprofessional and takes forever. The funny thing is, if I didn’t want to get out and sit at the table with my son to eat dinner and went through the drive through I would have had my food out and ready within minutes. Not an hour.

I would like a full refund and a call back immediately from the general and regional manager. I would also hope that the leaders are teaching proper etiquette on how to deal with customers.

My family and I were an hour away from home for our son's baseball game. We stopped to get dinner as it was about 8:30pm, went through the drive thru and as we were pulling off my son pulled his $5 fill up box out to start eating & he realized they gave him a thigh & leg box instead of the 3 piece strip box we ordered. So I start looking through our $27 order to see if anything else is missing & sure enough we were also missing a potpie, they put the wrong sides in both our kid's fill up boxes & did not put a cookie in them either, and they did not put forks in the bag. We turn around and my husband walks in and politely tells the MANAGER WITH PURPLE HAIR that these things are missing. She asks for a receipt, although we were just in the drive thru 2 minutes ago.. and he tells her the girl at the window did not give us one. The manager asks the girl and she says yes she messed up and must have accidentally threw it away. So the manager pulls the receipt up on the computer & says it shows everything we ordered, and says she can't give us our food were missing because we don't have our receipt.. the receipt her worker did not give us & threw away! My husband explains that we're an hour away from home and our son has been on the baseball field for 3 hours and is hungry and we just want our food that we paid almost $30 for that they didn't give us so we can get home. And the manager gets a nasty, rude attitude and continues to refuse to give us our missing food because of the receipt! So bad that another gentleman in line speaks up & says,"The man is just trying to feed his family, give him his food he paid for!" Then a girl working in the back speaks up & says,"Just call the police, then he won't get anything and have to leave." At this point being over the situation and just ready to get our kids some food and get home so he can take a shower and get to bed for school in the morning, my husband tells the manager to just ring up what is missing and he'll pay for it AGAIN. And the manager refuses and just continues being extremely unprofessional and rude, then suddenly turns around and starts throwing food in boxes and slings it across the counter. We are in the area a lot for our kids games & have a lot of friends in the area. We will never return to this location and will make it a point to tell all of our friends in the area our experience and tell them to avoid it too. There was no need for any of this. We just wanted our food that we paid for, and instead we were greeted with a pissing match with a manager with purple hair and in the end THEY STILL DID NOT GET OUR ORDER RIGHT!!! The kids still did not get cookies in their boxes, my one son did not get his dipping sauce for his strips & still no forks! So our kids had to wait till we got home an hour later to eat their sides & my husband also had to wait to eat his potpie! Avoid this location! We have never had issues with our local Kfc location in...

So please help me get to the bottom of this conspiracy. I go to the KFC a week ago. On the menu they don't have the double down but I've been craving one. Hands down it's the most underrated fast food item out of any chain. They use chicken as the buns bro... chicken as the Buns!!! So anyway, I ask them if they have any in a hope that there's a few hidden in the back. Guess what..THERE ARE! So naturally, I order two. I wake up the next day and I spent all that day dreaming about this beautiful sandwich. I tell my friend about the fact that they had the sandwhich in stock. He's never had one. We bounce out of work and fly to the KFC post haste to get him one and of course another for me. Here's how the drive thru convo went: Me: yeah can I get a Double Down? Worker: we don't have that item. Me: I know you have some hidden In the back Worker: sir, no we don't Me: well see I came here last night yall and said the same thing. Yet I ended up buying two and a side of potato wedges (Well here's where it gets sketchy. Note: she told me they "Don't Carry That Item!!") Worker: long pause we aren't aloud to sell those
