We arrived at Boston Granite Exchange on 8/10/2021 to pick out countertop material for our kitchen renovation, referred by our kitchen designer and fabricator. Upon entering, we were immediately warmly greeted by Lisa Carozza. Explaining our purpose, she provided us with a short questionnaire while she located us on her computer. As we were unfamiliar with the process, Lisa (aided briefly by Rebecca), explained how the process worked. Paperwork completed, Lisa brought us back to the showroom of stone slabs - thousands of them in every direction. We had come with one type of granite in mind - Typhoon Bordeaux. Lisa immediately brought over to row H-5 to view the two slabs available. As we marveled over the vast selection, Lisa provided information on the overall selections, and gave us details on stone that caught our eye on the way to our destination. We immediately loved the first slab, and asked to see the second. Jackie was overcome with emotion over the beauty of the stone and envisioning it in our home - she likely would have received a hug from Lisa if we were not still in the pandemic! Lisa called for assistance to move the first slab over, and described the process of moving it using the overhead lifts, telling us about the various cranes, slab weight, and how careful the moves are. We moved a safe distance away but were able to watch the move, which was fascinating, The second slab was equally as beautiful as the first, and we asked that both be put on hold. Lisa allowed us to put our new kitchen cabinet door up against the granite, and stated, in her opinion, it was a wonderful match. We snapped a few pictures of the stones and returned to the front reception area. Lisa filled out the necessary paperwork and provided us with copies, all the while detailing the process of what happens next and the options available to us. We could not have been happier with the process or with Lisa. She was warm, informative, empathetic, and answered every questioned we had - and provided a means to contact her if we had any other questions. It truly felt like we walked in and made an instant friend. Lisa has excellent customer skills - she puts people at ease and listens intently to the customer and what they are seeking. She radiates truthfulness and honesty, and projects confidence in the product and process - we thought she had thirty years of experience in the business! She is an absolute asset to Boston Granite Exchange - well skilled as Director of First Impressions at reception. Product can be bought anywhere - we choose by evaluating the company and the people. Lisa gets an A+ for representing BGE, as does BGE for providing a welcoming space for clients. We are very happy customers and would not hesitate to recommend Lisa and BGE to anyone seeking exceptional service, quality and selection.
Sincerely,

Read moreNot what I was expecting…. In a positive way. After visiting a couple places for countertop quotes, Boston Granite Exchange seemed to be the place where most of the material was obtained from. My wife and I picked out the countertop online from pictures, however, we were urged to go and look at the pieces we selected in person to ensure we were happy with our choice. Now, when looking at countertops during the winter in New England can be difficult when the installers and fabricators have the slaps in the parking lot and it’s a cold, windy winters day and you steer though the ice and snow and try to make an informed decision. Well, Boston Granite Exchange is all inside of a warehouse and a painless process. When you arrive, you complete some paperwork of basic information and inform the staff if you have any pieces on hold from a fabricator or installer. Then you are guided to the back of the building to the warehouse. The amount of material was impressive and the layout was easy to follow: numbers and letters for rows and aisles, and sticker colors for price ranges. We had the pleasure of working with Lisa. She showed us the ropes, how to read the slaps, and walked a few aisles with us. Then you are sent on your way to browse to your hearts content. Need some slaps pulled, moved, or placed so you can see them better? No issues at all, the whole crew at Boston Granite Exchange was extremely helpful and friendly. We had our slaps pulled so we could see and feel all three prices we picked put. Then, you can pick which order to utilize them (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.). Boston Granite Exchange worked directly with our fabricator and installer for a seamless process. Although we went with the same name/type of countertop we selected online, we actually picked out different pieces. We are glad we took the time to make the trip to Boston Granite Exchange. A very easy and painless process with a staff of very knowledgeable and friendly people. Take the time and visit these folks, you...
Read moreWe went to Boston Granite Exchange to find a stone for our new kitchen and upon arriving it is a lot to look at and take in. They do give you a guide and clipboard to take notes which is super helpful! What really sold us was Dave, their best employee! He came by and asked us if we needed any help and reluctantly said yes since we thought we could do it on our own. He saved us…flew us through what we were looking for and helped us bring our vision to life! Was super helpful pointing out certain stones and comparing. He was also great with coordinating moving some stones around to see them better and that was what made us ultimately pick Picasso! We would have never been able to narrow our selections down without him. Once we picked our stone he input a few notes to our fabricator and the pass off was done. Here are some photos of the slab in the warehouse and then once our fabricators installed them today! Thank you Dave! Alex &...
