This entire rental process was a headache. I booked through AAA, which allows you to have free additional driver. I was told by the person at the counter that neither Hertz Gold nor AAA did free additional drivers anymore (this is false). I then talked to the manager who said that I could get an additional driver for free if I booked through AAA, but she told me that I didn't book through AAA (The only confirmation email I had was from AAA but she just kept saying that I booked through AMEX, since that was the card that I paid with...). She finally ended up adding the discount and printing me a receipt, which I received in an email. She told me she'd email me the photos she took of the car, which I never received even after calling to follow up (there was a huge scratch on the side of the car and I wanted to make sure it was documented).
Later that afternoon, I received an updated receipt with a charge for an additional driver. When I returned the car, I brought this up and the person working told me not to worry, he added a note to my original receipt that I gave him, and he said the manager would remove the additional driver charge.
Two days later, I have two random hertz charges pending on my credit card, neither of which matched up with any receipt I had. Still not sure what these are for.
The next day I got the final receipt in my email, which the additional driver charges. I called this location and they said they couldn't do anything about it and to call the corporate number.
I ended up resolving this by calling the corporate number, but in all I spent way too long dealing with things that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place if they processed my reservation correctly.

Read moreIf I had the option to choose ZERO stars I would. I have been a loyal customer with this location for roughly 8 years now without any complaints until recently. Ever since the change in management this location has become a total disaster. Today is the 3rd time in 2 months I have showed up to pick up a vehicle that wasn’t available. The first time I was offered an economy vehicle when I booked a large premium based on the number of passengers and duration of my trip. My trip was then postponed by 1 day so that I could pick up the vehicle class I had originally booked at another location roughly 45 mins out of my way. The last 2 times I have shown up including today with the manager informing me that there are no available cars leaving me in a major bind. However, I was allowed to book a vehicle on their site each time. The manager nor customer service have taken any accountability for their actions other than pointing the finger at each other. It should be noted that I counted 13 Hertz vehicles on their lot as they locked me out of their office at 4:56 pm while the office is set to close at 5:00 pm. If you would like to avoid being stranded without a vehicle, paying for unnecessary Ubers, and most of all a headache DO NOT rent from this location or Hertz all together. Read moreI have rented automobiles at this location for 15 years or more both for personal and corporate rentals. I have always had a great experience at this location, until this past September. The previous crew of people have transferred out. I have gotten cars that were not clean, the windshield was dirty, the fuel in a regular basis is less than half a tank when I have to drive to southern New England and worry about filling the car twice.
One associate who shall be not be identified didn’t listen to me about a corporate rental and ended up charging me for insurance and fuel my company didn’t want. When I came back and addressed this issue with this person I was given a shrug of the shoulders and there’s nothing I could do.
The two rental cars I did in November were about the same not so glowing experience. Not even a thank you for renting from hertz.
David Smith who was the branch manager was a totally awesome employee who made my corporate and personal renting so much easier.
It would be great if the employees in this office including could be a little more personable with corporate customers.
