My family and I drive 45 minutes to come eat here often and usually we have a great experience. Last night was rough though. Our waitress started off forgetting our drinks until after we finished a loaf of bread and when she did bring back our drinks she put my moms diet coke UP TO HER NOSE to "smell if it was hers or the other tables regular coke"... barf... and strange that you can smell the difference between diet and regular?
She then took our order and came back 10 minutes later saying she lost her slip and took our order for the second time...
The food came out great as always!! We all got the same thing- 9oz filet with two sides. My mom and I both got brussels sprouts as one side, but mine came with my meal and hers didn't. I think she waited 5 minutes or so (not the biggest deal, but when our check came, we were charged the full price for an additional side on top of the 2 that were already on the receipt.... which only 2 were ordered not 3. So we had to have her take it off the bill. All of which happened after she also dropped off the wrong check). As it was we already had waited for a very long time to get the first (wrong) bill, so we were all pretty fed up. I also might add that the place was NOT even busy. We're typically understanding patrons, but that was just sad all around from start to finish.
Terrible experience, great food, just go to one of their other locations... or...
Read moreThis was an interesting experience for sure. We were seated rather quickly but it was quite a long time before we were served. In fact, we weren't served or acknowledged until the table next to us was sat down and their orders taken first, approximately 10-15 minutes later.
When we were finally served my friend said it best, it was like we were an ex showing up at their work. The service provided was impressively bad, thinly veiled with some courtesy. It made me feel bad to be there and want to order food.
I got the longhorn burger which was delicious, but a little overpriced for what it was. A fresh bun and toppings and the meat was cooked very well. French fries were tasty crispy and not over salted.
We also had soda which was never once refilled even though we were offered it by the server.
At the end of the meal we were divvying up the tab and this was the point where the waitress decided to give us her full attention, probably to ensure we didn't try to stiff our bill. This was one of the few times I've tried to leave a smaller tip.
This was an experience that will be unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. I'd rather go to McDonald's which I know I'll have this level of service but the bill will be...
Read moreFour of us went to Longhorn this evening. We requested a booth, however the hostess sat us in the middle of a bunch of people, which made us feel a uncomfortable being too close to others considering all of the contagions out there and where there was plenty of other empty seats available. The waitress ending up seating us in a booth but didn't appear to be happy over the move. She made us wait 15-20 minutes before she came to take our order. She never removed the dirty dishes from the table and didn't come over to ask how everything is or if we needed anything else. When she finally came over, one of my sons asked for a to-go order. It took forever to get and we had seen the waitress sitting down eating. When she saw that we were looking in her direction, she got up to check the to-go order. She then brought out the to-go order and stated "I'm not the one who makes the food...you need to be patient! We found that comment to be rude and somewhat hilarious considering her overall service was slow and lacked finess. This type of poor service is not how you get customers to come back! I relayed the experience to the bartender who didn't comment, so I decided to write...
