We had an incredible experience at The Charcoal Pit Mediterranean Grill in Haverhill! Every dish we ordered was a hit, but the Taouk Special truly stole the show. Tender, juicy grilled chicken that was perfectly marinated and bursting with flavor. It had that mouthwatering char from the grill that makes you stop mid-bite and just savor the moment. If you're visiting, make this your first pick. You won’t regret it.

The beef kabob was equally impressive. Again tender, cooked just right, and seasoned beautifully. The Chicken Kabob had that perfect smoky finish and paired wonderfully with their grilled chicken fattoush salad, which was light, fresh, and full of vibrant textures.

We also tried the hummus and spicy pita, and both were delicious! The hummus was creamy and smooth with just the right touch of garlic and lemon, and the pita had a kick that kept us going back for more.

From start to finish, everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff was warm and welcoming, and you could tell they take pride in what they serve. We’ll definitely be coming back, and next time, we’re doubling up on that...

I ordered the Farouj whole chicken for takeout. The flavor of the chicken was great, well seasoned and delicious. However there were a few issues that made the overall experience less enjoyable.

First, I bought it with high expectations after seeing their marketing photo, but what I received didn’t quite match that. The chicken was placed directly on top of the flatbread, which soaked up all the juices and turned into a soggy mess. It made the bread almost impossible to eat. On top of that, the fries were packed in the same box as the chicken, and they were completely soggy by the time I got home.

I was also disappointed with the amount of sauce and sides. For a whole chicken, they only included tiny cups of garlic sauce, Habibi sauce, and coleslaw; not at all enough for the portion size.

We originally saw this place on instagram then I decided to read reviews. The reviews were fantastic and rightfully so !! My wife & I both had the Taouk sandwiches & a side order of hummus. They were both delicious. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu. We were greeted w/ the nicest people as we walked in. Their attitude & good nature reflects in the food quality and the cleanliness of the place. Although it was the 1st time we met these people it felt like we were good friends!! Oh by the way we were given a sample order of French fries to taste while we were waiting & they were so crunchy with their own seasoning. They were unique & delicious actually the best fries I’ve ever had. I was told that they hadn’t been open very long but I definitely wish them luck !!!
