We stopped here while we were walking around Hilo. There is some interesting history around this island (but none of that is really talked about with signs or anything on the island).
It's a pretty small island, there are some ruins from buildings there. You can walk out on the lava rock and look at the ocean. There are some very small sand beaches on some of the nooks and crannies of the island where we saw families with small children playing.
