Jace is the owner and instructor for this surf business and he was great to work with! I’m 6ft, 260lbs and due to a miscommunication, Jace wasn’t aware of that and didn’t bring the right size board for me. It was obvious within 5min of being in the water that the board wasn’t going to work sadly. He said if I was willing to wait, he’d send his friend to grab the right board, finish the lesson with the other two people and then give me a one on one lesson so I could still learn. True to his work, the board showed up and we got out there! He went above and beyond to make the experience still work for me and that meant a lot.

BEST first surf experience! Jared was great at explaining how to navigate the surf board when hitting the waves and where to stay the safest in the bay. My girlfriend with no surf experience was able to get up the second attempt and only fell once or twice afterwards. I got up the third attempt and was the same. When we did fall Jared was quick to help us understand why we fell (looking down at the board instead of up, poor hand placement, etc). Had the best introduction to surfing with Jared as my coach!! He was excellent at explaining the fundamentals of surfing and how to read the waves and be one with the ocean. He guided me with cues which really helped me fast track my learning. Jared’s confidence and energy helped me feel safe and free to have fun!
