I lived in one of the apartment complexes owned by Middlesex management and have had the worst experience with all of their team except for one person. The call center is rude and unhelpful. If you are moving into one of their apartments, beware they will take a large amount out of your security deposit for an invalid reason. To give more context from my personal experience, they took out a whopping $1430 from our Security deposit for two “ Pet stains.” THEY RIP OUT THE CARPET ANYWAYS! I am not denying that there were pets stains that were cleaned up, however, to take that amount of money from someone for the reason being is honestly evil in my opinion. I tried to dispute it and even talk to the property manager, but all they do is send a letter saying reasons were deemed to be true. Also, it is extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone that can actually do something to help you. I have never heard of a company that has so many high up people that refuse to speak...

I lived in Hawthorne square in 2019 when they were finishing construction on the buildings. I only stayed one year due to the overwhelming disgust I experienced during my time there. Turned my key and the apartment (that was never lived in before) was a disaster- cabinets slashed, rug stained, frayed and not secured, creaking bathtub, cracked walls from settling- the list goes on and on- AWFUL quality. Management was nasty and not helpful. Also turned out the MAINTENANCE MAN who was constantly in my apartment to “fix” things was a CRIMINAL, putting cameras in residents AIR VENTS to SPY ON YOUNG WOMEN. Do not move here if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Constant noise. CONSTANT. Lake view farms next door start up around 5:30 Am and wake us up every single morning. There’s a shoring company on the other side that works 24 hours a day with back up alarms and forklifts operating all throughout the night , oh and don’t forget the freight train running along side the complex. Also if you’re on the ground floor you’re lucky enough to live under two separate apartments! The floors have zero sound insulation so you get to hear your neighbors allllll day and night.
