11 months later... We traded in our 2022 Forest River XLR Nitro. We just couldn't keep up with all the repairs. Every time we took out the 5th wheel, something else broke. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING BY FOREST RIVER AGAIN!!! One slide mechanism broke, the garage bathroom walls unattached from the ceiling, the ramp door had to be completely replaced, the generator stopped working and the list went on! So we traded it in for something else. We will see how that goes!
But the BEST thing is that we met some great people at BOBBY COMBS RV IN HAYDEN!!! We have had multiple different trailers and dealt with many different dealerships throughout the years and THIS DEALERSHIP IS THE BEST! Phil (the service manager) has gone over and above with our repairs (even bad issues with other dealerships). Phil and all the staff at Bobby Combs RV Center in Hayden have taken GREAT CARE of us EVERY TIME! Even though we had a lemon, we LOVE the STAFF! We definitely recommend Bobby Combs RV in Hayden! They will take care of you!
1st Review We purchased a brand new 2022 5th wheel Forest River XLR Nitro. Had it for about a month and while we were traveling, several things went wrong. We called Bobby Combs RV Center in Hayden Idaho (where we purchased it from) and told them what problems we were having and told them when approximately we would be back. They said no problem! Come on in and we will get you taken care of! (Wow!) We came back and they got right to work. Got all our issues fixed! It took 3 full days and they even had us stay on their lot overnight! Staff are very friendly and professional! Very impressed in todays world! Thanks Bobby Combs staff in Hayden! Very...
Read moreWe had a very good experience sale wise. They are very friendly and let you look without asking a trillion and one questions like blue dog rv does. We purchased the unit we wanted and drove it from Idaho to Texas as we were moving to Texas. We were only in texas for 4 days and had a rain storm and saw water leaking inside our trailer. We were very puzzled? So the rv park we were parked at just so happens to be a repair shop as well, so they came over and walked around the trailer and found a 2-3 foot clean slash in the top part of the roof. Which would explain how water was leaking through. They took photo's and gave them to me, in which I contacted the trailer warranty department and emailed them the photos. The warranty department then contacted Bobby Combs and Bobby Combs was basically implying we were in some way responsible for the slash in the roof. Which when the repair shop people found the slash and took photos they told us that by the way the slash is and rust that was already on it, that the slash has been there at least a month! We've only had this trailer for 1 week!! We know we didn't hit anything and there's no way it was from a tree branch because it would have been a rugged slash, not a clean slash like it is. So needless to say warranty will not cover it to get it fixed and Bobby Combs is not wanting to help in anyway to fix it or make this right. Terrible treatment we're getting now after buying it. They're nice and friendly when you're buying but if you have any issues afterwards with your trailer or rv and it's completely not your fault they will imply that it is, and will not help you. I would not recommend Bobby...
Read moreI stopped by to look at Rvs to purchase, I was informed before even going to the sales floor that I should leave and go to the black sheep sale. I told the lady I have already been there and would like to look here. My son and I were walking around and found a few good options but there were these two dogs that kept coming around and following us. I shooed them away a few times and my son was getting startled when they kept coming up. There was no person in site until I very loudly told the dogs to go away, this was 5th time and I was there to look at Rvs, I dont need dogs following me. Then a lady came around the corner and I mentioned she should leash her dogs, she told me she was the owner and could do what she wanted. I was very irritated that she refused to keep her dogs on a leash or contained. Not everybody is a dog person, and being a dog owner myself I know how much people dont appreciate random dogs running to them. I explained this to her and she told me to leave the property. I told her that her ediquitte for a business owner was inappropriate. If you are going to have animals on your private business property then you need to display courtousy to your customers when they display they dont want your animals near them. I know plenty of business owners that have dogs who dont run around following or chasing their customers. I was highly dissatisfied with the owners behavior. Not a way to treat a potential customer. She should have apologized for her dogs then...
