Steve’s country market — Local services in Hayes Township

Had gone one time and called twice. They have great deals! The quality is also good! We called to order their meat package for the first time. Someone answers almost right away. Super nice lady. We get transferred. We waited and waited and waited. Approximately 10 minutes. No problem, i get it. We go in the next day ( mind you, we live in Cadillac), we walk in and everyone looks super mad. I got to the back and the guy seemed to be annoyed with us. He didn't great us, he just asked what do you want. Told him what we were there for the bundle. Says he has to go to the back and grab it. Gets it fairly fast and was prompt. No have a good day or even a bye he turns heal and leaves. Go to pay for it at the cashier. The lady also seemed to be annoyed by our patronage. No, hi how's it going or any thing. Comes around checks it tells me to initial. She rings it up and I pay. I get the receipt and she's still sitting there with a scowl. No bye or have a nice day. My wife said she felt like they was annoyed with us and made her feel really uncomfortable. That was about 3 weeks ago. Today my wife calls and she gets transfered like before. This time my wife sat on the phone for an half hour. I wanted to give them a second try. It was helpful for the fact that im feeding a family of 5 on one income( Also, we dont get SNAP). I'm not a hot shot. I work on the floor and am a generallabor. Nobody important. I rather support a local business that cares than go to a big box store. Best place around to get fresh deli meats! Steve's is the only place I like to get lunch meat for sandwiches. They have a great selection of meats in the deli and will cut any cut of meat just the way you want...all you have to do is ask. They also have a great selection of home made dips, pasta salads and other deli delights to choose from, made it store daily! Their brat flavors are awesome and whenever we want brats for dinner we always go there and buy them fresh from the deli.
