I give this rating 5/5 for Shirley, the associate who assisted me. One star is knocked off due to the Postmaster. But that knocked off star does not reflect Shirley. Shirley is exceptional, kind, patient, and a true humanitarian. I was having issues with my money order and she worked with me time and time again until it was resolved. Unfortunately the postmaster was impatient and told me I had one chance left and if it didn’t work that I would need to leave. He stood and hovered over until he gave me his final threat as a warning. He was very cold and had not one moment of joy in his spirit. I hope he finds some. Shirley was the complete opposite. Overall I am satisfied. I understand the postmaster may have been doing his job, but you simply do not know people or what may be going on. If Shirley didn’t give me the chance and worked with me, I wouldn’t have made it. It was a glitch in the system and although it took some time, it was resolved. I am so grateful to Shirley. She, just like the postmaster, was only doing her job, but the difference is, as an individual doing their job, she also possesses qualities that go beyond simple labor. She truly wants to help in a way where there are solutions on all ends. Not just for her job. But for the customer as well. She is so needed in this world and this office is excellent I believe primarily because of her. She was helping so many others more than the other employee’s alone and she was so patient and kind to each and all. She also helped so many people that seemed to not know what to do, including myself. She also helped to entertain my 18 month old when she was fussing. She was efficient on top of that in all that she did. This woman is remarkable. I am beyond honored to have been helped by her. If it were the postmaster or another, it may have been no chance. Thank you Shirley for being you. Who you are is more of what the world needs. You as an individual doing all that you could to ensure that all parties feel valued is exactly the spirit of what would serve as a catalyst to end and prevent all major wars. Thank you so...
Read moreI used to come here. The service was pretty good, too. The employees were nice and helpful. The last time I came here, though, was my last. They had hired someone new - a young Black girl who looked to be my age. I'm a Black woman, too, but with a fair complexion. And, sometimes, this combination invites hatred unlike any other.
When I tried to send a return product through the mail, I was unsure where to write the address information. The package the product was delivered in was not a carrier box and I didn't have a printed label. Embarrassed, I admitted I was unsure where to share the address. "YEAH - You just WRITE ON THE BOX!!!"
I stopped, stared at her; surprised at her tone. She had been giving me these bold, direct rather rude cross-eyed looks when I asked questions. But that last one got me. The white man whom she'd been helping in front of me just seconds earlier had had a totally different experience. She was smiling from ear to ear and being really sweet to him. But, with me, she was just...ugly.
I'll never understand what this thing is in our community at which we are dismissive toward each other. It doesn't make any sense.
That was the last time I went to this post office - as I've been loving the pick-up request option from home. Whoever that girl was, she was a pathetic excuse for a person.
She should be...
Read moreReally easy and quick to find, but with there only being two workers and no automatic machine so you can get your packages done by yourself. It is a very slow move if there is more than one person in line or someone that's more than one package.
They do have a mailbox outside if you do miss their hours, but I would suggest going to another location if you have packages and you're in a rush and like the...
