Yuki Hana Sushi — Restaurant in Hayward

My experience at Yuki Hana Sushi was extremely upsetting. Since the moment we walked in, the customer service has been terrible. We were not greeted, and the server was mean. Our server was a lady who was very unfriendly. To be honest, my family and I felt discriminated against. When we were ordering, our server kept rolling her eyes at us and seemed annoyed when we asked for something. We did not feel welcomed at all; it was an odd feeling, and my children were uncomfortable. The food arrived quickly, was somewhat fresh, but not particularly tasty. Again, the food was not the best, but there were plenty of it. I'm not sure if this lady was having a bad day or if she is unhappy at work; if so, she should do something else. Better yet, perhaps some customer service training so that you can serve a diverse group...

This place is overall hot garbage. Very long wait when the place isn't even busy. The actual entree dishes came out before the sushi for god knows why. I ordered a bento box with chicken karaage and panko fish. Let me tell you that the karaage was overcooked so dark that it tasted burnt, was hard to chew, and had no sign of crispiness. How do you even cook chicken this dark? It takes a ton of effort to even get it past golden brown... The lemon that came with it was straight out of the freezer, so frozen that I could not squeeze it. The panko fish was fine, nothing special. Finished eating and waited about 15 minutes. Waiter comes by and asks if we need more water???? Bro we are done here just hand the bill... Don't come here expecting quality in any...

My menu... Red Lion roll - delicious. A bit spicy, but still yumm yumm for the tumm tumm. The guy behind the counter recommended.

chicken teriyaki bento - chicken teriyaki was good, but not great. But a dinner serving was only 9.95! Food has inflated so much the past couple years, I would give this 10 stars.

miso soup - another reviewer said it was garbage. I felt it was a bit watery, but my girlfriend is Japanese and I get it fresh. It came with the bento, so no big deal.

49er roll - served as expected and delicious.

bottle of nigori sake - oddly enough, it seemed to taste better with every shot I took. And it was 8.95, can you say suh-weet?
