Terrible experience at this store today.I brought in a ring set for repair. It was purchased at an online jewelry store many years ago and was missing a couple of accent diamonds. The guy helping us was incredibly rude and judgemental about the fact that we purchased the ring online, among other things. He rudely chastised us several times for a bunch of different stuff, like not shopping locally and for me for not knowing if the sapphire in the ring was natural or lab grown. At one point he asked me, in a very condescending tone, if local jewelry stores just werenât good enough for me. I was really surprised by this question because I hadnât said anything to suggest that, I only answered his question about where I purchased this particular ring that needed repair. And he was clearly not joking either, he was dead serious. My husband and I were polite the entire time, but both of us started to feel really uncomfortable dealing with him, and even irritated by how much of a jerk he was being, and not letting up. We finally just told him we would go somewhere else. He said fine, as if he didnât care. I am a quiet, polite, non confrontational type of person so I'm completely baffled by what prompted his rudeness from the very moment he started talking. We will not go back and will tell everyone to...
Read moreOh my goodness! We visited the new Hughes Jewlers by Publix & had the best experience! We were searching for a necklace & the customer service was by far the best I've ever had shopping for jewelery! Christy Hughes showed us the beautiful pieces of wearable Art from a local artist, Michael Johnson, helped me find my perfect chain for my heirloom pendant & repaired my husband's wedding band while we waited! She showed my son a customed designed engagement ring to give him a direction for his sweetheart, and she showed us the antique crosses from Russia that survived years being hidden from religious Persecution only to prove Jesus's love is a constant reminder how you can bury it but it's always there...I loved it! Needless to say I went in with the mindset of I need a necklace to leaving with matching earrings & my soul being fed...What a...
Read moreI was in the area and decided to stop by this location as I needed my clasp repaired on my necklace. I was greeted by a friendly lady at the front counter. Afterwards a gentleman came to the front when she needed help. He didnât greet me, first words out of his mouth was âyou have more problems with this jewelry than just the claspâ. I asked him how much was it to replace the clasp and he responded.. âI donât know, how much did you pay for it?â I paused! I kindly informed him I did not like his response. I asked for my jewelry and left. Be careful, it was apparent this representative/location judges people based on the color of their skin. If you support this location, it says a lot about you too! I donât post reviews. I share the feedback with the location typically. But in this case, I feel itâs necessary you know...
