I don't know what happened I heard they have new owners. They definitely are not using the LIms recipes. The crab Rangoon are terrible and folded into a triangle. The Happy family is definitely not the same. They're now using imitation crab and popcorn shrimp but yet keeping the near $20 price. The Lims always used a full crab claw and medium to large shrimp. The fried dumplings taste like they were cooked in old oil. They tasted burnt. Also the scallops in the Seafood Delight were rubbery. The only thing that hasn't changed in flavor but did in price was the Sesame Chicken. Look I get the economy stinks however I never minded the Lims raising prices because the quality and taste stayed the same. I know my neighbors are now going somewhere else and we are too, because we spent about $70 the last time we went to Mr. Lims and at the new place we spent less and got so much more for our money without ...
Read moreThe lo-mein was not what I expected, based on the picture and description I expected noodles, chicken, beef, shrimp and vegetables. My dish had noodles, 1 tiny piece of each meat and no vegetables. It also had so much sauce and sesame oil on it that I had a weird taste in my mouth until the next day, even though I only ate 1/4 of the dish. My lesson learned was that I should have said something at the restaurant but I was with a friend I hadn't seen in a while and my proirity was on the quality of our visit instead of the quality of the food but after I learned that the food gave her a stomach ache I felt bad. The stars are because the restaurant was clean and the waiter was nice except I specifically asked him if I could get my dish with no sauce (due to low sodium diet), he replied yes however the noodles were swimming in...
Read morePretty standard American Chinese. My favorite was the Hot and Sour Soup with the wonton strips. Portions are large and the prices are good too. Friendly people and good service as well. The General Tso's Chicken was alright. Unfortunately it was too hot temperature wise and I couldn't eat it for a few minutes. It also melted the styrofoam tray. 😱 So if I was to give some honest feedback, I would say to try to get the temperature on the food a little lower, especially for dine in orders, and I would have liked to see more peppers in the General Tso's. Same with the fried rice - would have loved to see more peas, carrots, and eggs in it. Love the soup though!
Update: We tried Mr. Lin again this week and everyone got food...
