For context, I was planning a surprise spa day for my sister after her birth giving. I booked an appointment on Aug 7th, 2025. Now granted, I do not have experience to know which services would be best. So I went along and booked what seemed to provide a luxurious experience for Aug 29th, 2025 @ 9am. I completed the booking process and received email and text confirmations. On Aug 26th, I received a phone call from Diane confirming details on the appointment. She was confused with my selections, and then recommended that I did not need the extra services because the other services i selected covered it. So she cancelled those appointments for 9am and 11:45am. I made it very clear with her, it was my first time ever booking an appointment for something like this and that I was doing it for my sister as a treat. Later, we texted back and forth to make sure I booked the right services. I completed booking my appointment for 3 services starting at 9:30am. I texted her again, notifying I finished booking. She acknowledged it. On Aug 28th, I received a notification to confirm my appointment. I clicked on the link and confirmed it. I took a screenshot, and it clearly says that the appointment is for 9:30am on Aug 29th, 2025. Today, Aug 29th, 2025, she arrived 10 mins prior to her appointment at 9:30am. Only to be told she was late for her appointment at 9am. She showed them the screenshot of the confirmation and they completely made up an excuse about how her appointment was for 9am instead of 9:30am. Come to find out, “they” cancelled her appointment to fit in other clients, and used the excuse “oh, we’re still trying to get use to the app and it’s acting up”. And then proceeds to tell her “oh I’ll give you a call or text to see if we can get you in today.” I texted Diane immediately to see what’s going on. NO RESPONSE as of Aug 29th, 2025, 2:50pm. No cancellation email or text notification at all. I find this unprofessional and inconsiderate. I see no problem if someone would’ve reach out, to notify about cancellation or rescheduling. My sister was really looking forward to this treat. This is completely unacceptable and very disappointing, especially for a first time customer. I really had high hopes for this place, but this experience alone has ruined it for me. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Thanks Lakeview Spa. P.s.
