Bosko — Restaurant in Helendale

My wife Lorraine and I went there for Valentine's day for the first time since the new menu and Mgmt. This is a Asian restaurant, not Chinese, or Korean, or any other Asian restaurant, but a mixture of several Asian influences and flavors. I had the Indiana Roll which I shared with my wife as an appetizer and it was amazing to say the least. Full of flavor and textures that came alive in your mouth, can't wait to try some of the others. We then choose 4 entrées, Kung Pao chicken, a bowl of spicy and sweet Udon Noodles with shrimp covered with a spicy but delicate broth. My wife choose one of the other noodle dishes with vegies and double shrimp. We ordered 2 more entrees and began to enjoy our Valentines dinner. After we finished eating, stuffed I looked at everything left and noticed that we hardly made a dent in our order, the only item we finished was the Indiana Roll we used as our appetizer. The portion size was huge. Now let me also say the service was great, our server went above and beyond. To recap the service was awesome, the food was full of flavor and appealing, with very nice sized portions. We give Bosko's 4 Thumb's up. A quiet Korean based restaurant in Helendale. Equal to a diamond in the ruff as this restaurant's cuisine comes with surprising flavor.

The chicken curry was served with an equal portion of white rice that blended well with the curry. The curry was subtle in it's spice, but flavorful in the way a good blended curry should be.

Vegetable tempura is highly recommended as a good starting appetizer, with its crunchy coating and well cooked veggies. The sauce adds a sweet but complimented flavor to the tempura.

A favorite is the chicken wings with an original sweet & sour sauce that let's you know that is there while bringing out the full flavor of the chicken wings.

Slow service! I ordered the Flat Iron Steak. Menu is not clear about sides with steak. 2 other parties were seated after I ordered and they received their meals before mine. Probably not waitresses fault kitchen was slow but she could have stayed on top of kitchen staff. There were a total of 5 separate dishes that were served 1st. 1 party left by the time I was served. It's seems difficult to keep any restaurant open in Silver Lakes and the building Bosko occupies. Many have come and gone? Bosko has upped their menu from when they 1st opened.
