Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in Hemet

I always come here since it's always on my daily commute, the store is clean. the food is fresh and the staff always remembers my name, like at the deli, well except for tonight. . . Tonight I met a man that must have been study one for PTSD. I waited patently as he not just walked out but emerged from the what I'm guessing is a dungeon like kitchen from the look on his face. As he greats me I ask how the chicken orders work. He begun to tell me the Increments I can order the chicken. The a sudden darkness fell upon his eyes. He begun to tell me about a family pack and that it was more chicken and how it comes with a side but his eyes where telling me that this deal must be top secret and if I knew about it I could be killed. His eyes shifting in so many directions except the one I was in. I simply asked if I could just have a ten piece chicken, but that must have been the trigger word, he then with a clear voice the same ways I can get the order and that it is impossible for that to ever happen. His eyes saying how stupid that question was. A simple "no sorry about that" would have been more efficient. But I have been only working in customer service for 15 years, what the hell do I know. I made my order. His shiftyness continued as he told me it would be a 6 min wait and I said that's fine. The disappointed look on his face grew as I said I would be patient. As I waited he then came back as he exhaled that it would be longer. Again I said that's fine. He then lurched back into the kitchen as he complained that this was a stupid time to get chicken and we all shouldn't come at the same time. In conclusion this may be my last time at this establishment. I liked this location. Always on my way home. But I guess I'll go to the college location. Waste of gas but at least I will not be treated like I'm trying to buy meth! I was treated like I was a burden. Unwanted, Like my cash is from a foreign country, at a place I have spent thousands at. I guess the great customer service is a thing...

Stater Bros Markets is a consistent brand I can count on to provide quality, value, and service. I have shopped for years at many of their stores and found friendly, hard-working, and courteous employees. Never dissatisfied or disappointed with any of my purchases or experiences I have become a loyal customer. The staff is always helpful and makes you feel good about being a customer. I currently live in the Hemet area but have shopped in Norco, Upland, Montclair, Walnut, Pomona, Anaheim, La Verne, San Bernardino, and more (disappointed with Claremont!). I can count on low prices for most things I buy.

The only complaint would be higher prices because of the pandemic. That is happening everywhere. There is no place that has survived higher prices, shortages of items, etc,... At least they seem not to have staff shortages like elsewhere.

NOTE: It is the greedy oil companies who have caused price increases! A look at their profits tells the whole story. I look forward to prices falling since even the smallest increase affects bread, dairy, bakery, dry goods, meat, frozen foods, and more (produce, alcohol, etc,...).

I continue to be a loyal shopper though the prices continue to rise. I hope the future will bring ALL of us relief as soon...

I really like Stater Bros they’re always friendly helpful and quick to get you through at the registers but the only thing I wish they could change is most of their high prices I’m not sure why they are more expensive than others maybe its because of exactly that the employees being so awesomely helpful friendly and fast and they get paid more than other places maybe I really don’t know I mean if that is why though they all deserve it but I’ll keep shopping here because of all that oh and the store is always very clean too no matter what time you go it’s always a great experience......psst .... to the ones who make the pay roll checks if you’re not paying your employees much I’d definitely start because like I said they are all worth it I’ve never had such a great grocery store to shop at actually....so I guess those higher priced items are so bad after all....thanks for doing such an awesome job everyone within Stater Bros....see ya next trip to pick up food etc...
