Inspirada Dental & Orthodontics — Local services in Henderson

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE!! I had my first visit since 2023 about two weeks ago and I didn't recognize any of this new staff. It was also my first visit with Dr. Dar. From the start I had showed up on time but I had a wait before I could be called to the back because someone had written the purpose of my visit wrong. I was coming for my annual checkup but someone had entered that I was coming in for a crown so they had to take some time to correct that in their system. After they corrected what they needed in their system, I took a seat to wait to be seen. As I waited a delivery person came in and stood at the front counter to chat with the girls behind the counter but did so for over 20 mins. They all talked about donuts and a family party that was going on that evening and who was invited while I'm still waiting to be brought to the back to start my appointment. Funny enough, after he leaves closer to 30 mins later then I'm finally called to the back. Either that was a coincidence or my appointment was delayed so that they could socialize. I'm all for a good keke/haha but I can't help but feel their social half hour was at the expense of my time for my appointment. So now let's get to the best part. Eventually I was called to the back and at the end of my exam and discussion with the Dr Dar, here comes the pregnant young girl from the front counter to go over the financials with me for what the Dr. recommends for treatment for me. To get straight to the punch line of this portion of my review, she tells me that I have periodontal disease and that it's been in my charts since the year before. I was shocked and my brain couldn't process what she just told me as no one has ever used the word disease and my name in the same sentence before. That is something I would never forget. If it was in my chart since 2023 then in 2023 it wasn't explicitly explained to me or use of the term "periodontal disease" or "gum disease" presented to me as this young girl was now doing. She was very "as matter of fact" and cold in her delivery at that. It made me upset... very upset. For many reasons to include why was I hearing this information from the billing person? The front counter receptionist!!? No dig at her for being a front counter receptionist, billing and appointment scheduler however, the only person in my opinion that sits in the position of delivering a diagnosis to a patient is an actual doctor which she is not. And if this was the diagnosis since 2023 it bothers me that it wasn't explained to me then as I was getting the news 2 weeks ago. I had just seen Dr Dar and he made no mention of this to me. To add insult to injury all subsequent talks with this young girl before I left was only her doubling down on why I had periodontal disease. Apparently to her (or she was told this I don't know) but if a patient has to have a deep cleaning, then there's no other explanation for why it's needed other than periodontal disease (Insert eye roll here)! Last I checked there are many reasons to have a deep cleaning, gum disease IS NOT the sole reason for it. I got a second and third opinion from actual doctors and both said that I DID NOT have this gum disease and one went into great detail to show me why I didn't have it. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to Inspirada Dental again. I don't appreciate the misdiagnosis; I think their customer service has gone down and clearly, they allow the support staff to act as doctors giving or sharing diagnosis to patients when they are not in the position to do so as they are not doctors. A diagnosis of any kind should come from a doctor in my opinion. If the front counter young girls at Inspirada Dental give medical diagnosis not being a license professional to do so, PLEASE GET A SECOND AND/OR THIRD...

Misleading information about my insurance coverage. We are new clients to the clinic, they were super nice we were there only for a cleaning. They ran our insurance said and I quote: "oh you have great insurance, it covers pretty much everything at 100%, who do you work for?" They did the cleaning for both me and my husband, they said all we needed to pay was the copay, which we did. They also created a treatment plan for me. Printed the plan the numbers, at this point Im thinking everything is covered. Later before going again, I send an email to verify knowing the treatment plan, if I would have enough to cover at least one of the crowns they said I needed to get, on top of some fillings. Email said: you should at least have enough to get one full crown done. I made an appointment, did some fillings long story short they were not able to finish the crown that day so they did a filling. They sit me down now and try to explain to me, that I would have to pay if I were to get the crown done. I stared at the lady's face, confused! and extremely disturbed. I decided not to get it done and I did not want to ever hear from them again. This was October, now in January I have a bill of $708.85 for some charges that my insurance did not cover. I called the office and said what is going on, we were told everything would be covered at 100% by my insurance. She said I understand but you basically signed the paper, this is your signature right? We can adjust the price by $279. We were on the phone with Aetna and Inspirada Dental for a while going back and forth. Aetna shows nowhere that they cover 100% but rather 100% of scheduled visits. Inspirada Dental put us on hold and hung up on us.

Looking at the breakdown for a simple cleaning, they are charing my insurance $176 per quarter of the mouth!!!!! which Aetna covers $92 so we are being charged $336 only for the scaling my husband got done. That's not even counting what I had to get done.

None of these prices were revealed to us BEFORE we signed, and even if we did, They said it is covered at 100%... extremely unprofessional, misleading and unfair.

Do not go here or at least check your coverage, do not take any of their words as truth and do not sign anything before reading and understanding.

Outstanding staff: Every team member I encountered was exceptional. From Dr. Dar's expertise to Daniella's professionalism at the front desk to the skilled dental hygienist and assistants, the entire staff demonstrated both competence and genuine warmth and care for patients. I can confidently say this practice stands out for its combination of advanced technology, skilled professionals, and patient-focused approach and quality care. Daniella went out of her way during her busy schedule to call my insurance and clarify my coverage on the phone. Dr. Dar was highly competent and gave me his comprehensive professional analysis and made valuable recommendations. I highly recommend Inspirada Dental and Orthodontics to anyone seeking quality dental care in the Henderson area.
