Linda The assistant community manager refused to help me complete a delivery of a package To one of the residents. The Gate code, wasn’t working. The person‘s telephone wasn’t working. I went into the office multiple times asking for assistance. Linda Made it very clear that my job was to deliver the package to the door so I needed to figured it out. I told her I couldn’t figure it out and that I needed to leave it in a safe place. Instead of her, deciding that it would be a good idea to help out a senior in a senior community get their package. She thought it was best to call me outside of my name and insinuate that I was rude. Delivery drivers have a time to deliver the packages. Linda made it very clear. She didn’t care if the package went back to the facility because my job was to take it to the door.. apparently, she thinks it’s easier to call a person rude and I to humiliate the delivery Person instead of going beyond Her specific job description for her residents and ensure that they get a safely delivered package or a package that they can come and pick up from the office. Eventually, a man told lLinda That he would take the package to The resident. All of this was taking place as a potential resident/ current resident was sitting in the chair. I’m not sure who trained Linda, However, her people, skills and critical thinking skills need to be reassessed. That is a senior Community and not all seniors are technologically advanced enough to give information to delivery drivers To get in and out of the gate of secure buildings.
I was appalled and I escalated it to corporate. I am doing a job and my job is not to be humiliated or run in circles when a person can assist me. Linda Apparently knows everyone else’s job except for hers.
I am a senior And based on my interaction with management today, I wouldn’t give this Community one dollar because what she showed me is the Community doesn’t respect the residents enough to Even be kind to the people attempting to deliver...
Read moreWhen I first arrived at Mera Henderson. I was impressed on how beautiful the property looks and how young the staff was. So my wife and I decided to start the process, of becoming a part of the community. Once they approved us, and we paid all fees that was requested of us. I thought that we were pretty lucky. The euphoria, that I felt did not last very long at all. What we did not know was that they have a very high turnover rate, when it comes to their management team. The commitments and agreements that you have with the management team that you signed with. Once that team is replaced, those commitments and understanding are non and void. And the team that was there, that also factored into our decision to live here. Has become very disrespectful and hostile towards certain community members. I never experienced management of a apartment building, actually yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. At you because you're asking a certain questions on how the building is being managed.. I've had that happen twice to my wife and I since we've been living here. all because we asked a question. And we've seen it happen to other residents. This is simply...

UPDATE: 8/29/25 - It's been about 10 days since our meeting with Kyle. I have to say he is a man of his word. Since the meeting the pool chemicals have been pretty spot on. The water has been crystal clear. I will be taking a water sample to Leslie's to get an exact water test done later today.
Thank you to Kyle and Rusty for getting this issue fixed. It's a shame it took a bad review to get corporates attention.
8/19/25 - I had a very good and productive meeting with a representative from corporate, Kyle.
He assured me that the pool concerns, as well as some other things, have not gone unnoticed.
He agreeded the pool situation was not acceptable and he assured us that he would get the pool under control as soon as possible, and it should have never taken since June to fix the issue.
Like I said I love it here at Mera. It's a great place to live. I stressed that to him. We also made sure he understood the biggest issue was the pool.
I am going to give Kyle until the end of the month to get the pool issues fixed.
I will keep you posted and let you know how...
