A Golden Experience at Dog in Suds!

Five stars simply don't suffice when it comes to my incredible experience with Dog in Suds in Hendersonville, NC. Every time I take my beloved Goldendoodle, Fiji, to them, I am continuously amazed by their meticulous, professional, and downright compassionate grooming services.

The kindness they extend towards Fiji is unparalleled; they treat her as if she were their own, which, as a pet owner, is all I can ever hope for. Dog in Suds is more than just a grooming service. It's a safe haven where Fiji always leaves looking not only more polished and primped, but also happier and full of joy.

I must admit, I can't help but wish I could leave Fiji under their watchful and loving care overnight. Alas, the city zoning regulations, which in my opinion, are a puzzle of bureaucracy, do not permit Dog in Suds to provide overnight boarding services. It's truly a shame, as I have no doubt that they would provide outstanding overnight care.

However, it's not all bad news! The silver lining is that Dog in Suds offers daycare services. In a world that can sometimes feel like it's short on trustworthy pet care, knowing that there's a place where Fiji can spend her day, while I'm away, being cared for and loved, is an absolute blessing.

The cleanliness and comfortability of their operation is worth every penny. Fiji's wellbeing is my top priority, and at Dog in Suds, I am assured that she's in the best possible hands. I met Dawn almost 5 years ago when we moved to the area with our labradoodle Charley. I was looking for a caring groomer where Charley would feel at home. Dawn and team met that requirement with high marks, and they groomed him through his end of life. Dawn now is caring for our energetic Bernedoodle puppy, who is a beautiful, well groomed one-year-old. Our pup also learned to meet other doggies during the pandemic year in Dog in Suds Daycare. I give Dawn and team high marks. Capable. Competent. Caring.

Today, 15-month-old Harper was groomed, and our 70-pound beauty came back with a Christmas collar and bows. What a sweet Christmas girl!🎄

July 2022. Each time Harper is groomed, she seems to come home looking like smooth black velvet. Harper seems to love being groomed and looking so pretty! Thank you, Dog in Suds!!

August 2023. In late 2022, it became apparent that our Harper had developed a medical issue. She started losing hair. After several vet visits, we took her to a vet dermatology specialist who diagnosed her with Sebaceous Adenitis, an auto-immune disorder attacking the oils glands at the hair follicles. 11/6/24 Helene hath her fury but she was no match for the love and care provided by Dawn and her highly skilled grooming staff. Due to the closure imposed by Helene, Dawn reopened a new location at 2001 Asheville Hwy and welcomed Zeke back with open arms. In that time Zeke’s fur just kept on growing and matting and yet within a matter of minutes Dawn transformed our little Shih Tzu from a Woolly Bully to a Skinny Mini and had Zeke looking better than ever. Update: Things just keep getting better and better. A dog is honest. They don’t act happy, they either Are Happy or Not… So when I pull up to take our puppy in for his grooming and he is just downright Excited!!!! I know that these folks Love and Care for him in a very special way. Dawn and her entire staff take the utmost care of our Shih Tzu. He simply loves going there to be groomed and if possible I think he looks forward to it. We have been going to Dawn for years and actually make our full year of appointments in advance with the help of her computer system.
