Julio’s Shop — Local services in Hendersonville

This review is hard for me to write. I don't like to leave bad reviews on small businesses, and I could see that he is a father and I don't want him out of business; but I simply cannot recommend Julio for phone repair. I gave him my iPhone 7, and he said he will contact me with an update once he has figured out what is wrong with it. He didn't. So, I decided to call him after 4 days of waiting. Nothing. I tried calling him multiple times with multiple phones, and yet over the two weeks, he did not pick up even once. The only way I was able to contact him through the Google Maps messaging feature, as he did not respond to my Facebook or Instagram messages. When he called me, he told me that he was not sure if he would have been able to fix the phone, but it would cost x amount and have a 50/50 chance of working. I told him to proceed with the repair and let me know what happened. He didn't. I tried to get in contact with him repeatedly with every form of contact available for the next two weeks. Nothing. I was unable to see him in person as I was currently working at a summer camp and we have strict COVID procedures. When I was able to finally see him, it took him longer than 10 minutes, no joke, to find my phone. When he did, he told me he was unable to get it working.

This was 4 weeks of wasted time. I wish I had have gone to someone else that has better contact procedures in place. Even if he is a skilled repairman, which he may be, he cannot be contacted, and will not contact you, unless you go into the store and see him face to face. The last time I broke a phone was 2004, when as an angsty teenager I smashed my Nokia against a wall (yes, I was very immature). Otherwise I’ve had great luck with all my devices, until last week, when my iPhone 13 slid in between the tailgate of my truck, and I slammed the tailgate hard enough for it to latch with my phone wedged in the side of it. I just bought it a month ago, and I was immediately anxious about what to do. I got a couple of quotes and thought I was better off just buying a new phone, unsure of whether I had done more damage than just the screen. Then I read the reviews for Julio’s Shop, and thought I’d give it a try. I got there at 12:30pm, and by 3:30pm I my phone back as good as new for a very reasonable price. While all he had was an aftermarket screen for my model, the difference is negligible (the warmth of tone is slightly different by maybe 1-2%. If I didn’t do digital photography for the past 12 years, I don’t think I’d even notice. Otherwise it’s high quality, and the service was efficient and very friendly! Awesome place , great customer service always polite and respectful has great deals and is always fair . always willing to help even when May be alittle short,not always of course (it is a business) but I highly recommend this cell phone place over any other just on the strenth of the man himself Julio and how he treats his customer's..
