I had quite an awful experience at this location when I stopped by this past Saturday 10/23. The younger girl working there with reddish brown hair was one of the rudest people Iāve encountered. It was our first time visiting this location, so we were unfamiliar with the layout of the store. We walked in and stood near the front of the store so that we could read the menu. As we were doing this, the girl was unboxing chips in the middle of the walkway and mumbled āyou know you can walk around the boxā in a condescending tone. All we were doing was reading the menu⦠Perhaps she has trouble comprehending basic social cues. She had a horrible attitude when taking the order, and would incoherently mumble questions, and then angrily yell when asked to repeat herself.
All of the tables inside were filthy, and there were no standard lids or napkins at the drink station. The only 2 trash bins in the restaurant were completely filled and there was nowhere to throw away trash. Of course the same employee had an issue with us searching for a trash can. She stared at us with a strange face as we walked to each trash can and didnāt offer any help. So not sure if the girl is just socially inept or blatantly rude.. regardless I wonāt be returning to this location because of her and her alone. The guy making the sandwich was very polite. I feel sorry that he has to work around such a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirehouse has always been my GO TO for subs. The last time a I was at the Hendersonville location it was a bit slow. But today is the WORST service Iāve ever encountered in any Firehouse anywhere. The staff of any location Iāve visited have always been friendly and accommodating, welcoming you when you come in the door. I submitted an online order arrived to pick it up at the time the app told me it would be ready. I waited 15 to 20 minutes. Not one employee acknowledged my presence while they moved as slowly as possible and weāre having inappropriate personal conversations. There were a couple enpkoyees that were doing nothing. The one guy that was making the sandwiches was concentrating more on conversation than his job. Two people walked in at the same time as me, stood around for a few minutes and then placed an order and got their order before me when mine had been submitted online at least 15 minutes earlier. Multiple other people were waiting and there was no acknowledgment to them either. Not sure I will ever be back. I have about 20,000 accumulated points but will have to use elsewhere. Corporate office should be notified about this particular franchise...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās Sunday evening. A situation has arisen that beckons me to do something special for a very dear friend in this moment. Things are pretty much closed so where can I go? Then a thought crossed my mindā¦. Hey Siri, is Firehouse Subs open? And she responded in the affirmative. So out I went and asked for a ham and Swiss with everything on it. It may not seem like much but in this moment it was everything. The kids at the counter, were no doubt eyeing the clock, wondering if this workday would ever be over an yet here they are on a misty, dusky Sunday evening still working, still preparing on the off chance that someone might come in. To you I say Thank You. You will never know how much a simple sandwich can mean to a person trying to comfort his friend in an hour when every minute feels like eternity. Thank you for being there and somehow please know that your job, your simple act of kindness while doing your job is much much more than the sandwich itselfā¦. Which, btw, was very...
