SNAPSHOT = details below - 3 stars for product and 4 stars for process. Fresh veggies, so-so bread but forgettable meat means they just can't keep up with Jimmy John's and can't hold a candle to Monte's excellent subs. That said, area competitors can learn a bunch from Firehouse: 1) Superior to-go packaging 2) In-store signage that excels 3) Great staff, very willing to serve 4) Giant row of hot suces you can put on sandwich or salad. Each is neatly labeled for heat level. 5) Very nice-looking restroom doors for both men and women* 6) Several sharp-looking graphical aids to speed customer order. 7) Overall, spotless, roomy and smartly designed store. * Did not enter restroom this visit, but always immaculate every other time I went in. This location is franchised, so I get that franchisee cannot upgrade quality of meat and bread. Really too bad. This franchisee is doing everything right. TIP = Firehouse is great option if you want a good value.

Stopped by this fire house subs on my way to SC from TN with some friends. This was a fine establishment that focused on clean tabels and servicing their customers in a timely fashion. You got to love the free pickle they offer with every sub! On another note the bathrooms were clean and they used Proctor & Gambel professional safe guard as their soap in their soap dispensers. Come and visit while the subs are still hot!

After placing a "rapid pick up order". My order was found on the ground behind the register. I then proceeded to wait an additional 11 minutes for the sub while nobody else was in front of me. I was offered a "sorry" for the inconvenience though. Total time from ordering online to receiving my sandwich was 32 minutes. I didn't receive a pickle even though I ordered two and my sandwich was made on the wrong bread.

I had quite an awful experience at this location when I stopped by this past Saturday 10/23. The younger girl working there with reddish brown hair was one of the rudest people I’ve encountered. It was our first time visiting this location, so we were unfamiliar with the layout of the store. We walked in and stood near the front of the store so that we could read the menu. As we were doing this, the girl was unboxing chips in the middle of the walkway and mumbled ā€œyou know you can walk around the boxā€ in a condescending tone. All we were doing was reading the menu… Perhaps she has trouble comprehending basic social cues. She had a horrible attitude when taking the order, and would incoherently mumble questions, and then angrily yell when asked to repeat herself.

All of the tables inside were filthy, and there were no standard lids or napkins at the drink station. The only 2 trash bins in the restaurant were completely filled and there was nowhere to throw away trash. Of course the same employee had an issue with us searching for a trash can. She stared at us with a strange face as we walked to each trash can and didn’t offer any help. So not sure if the girl is just socially inept or blatantly rude.. regardless I won’t be returning to this location because of her and her alone. The guy making the sandwich was very polite. I feel sorry that he has to work around such a...

Firehouse has always been my GO TO for subs. The last time a I was at the Hendersonville location it was a bit slow. But today is the WORST service I’ve ever encountered in any Firehouse anywhere. The staff of any location I’ve visited have always been friendly and accommodating, welcoming you when you come in the door. I submitted an online order arrived to pick it up at the time the app told me it would be ready. I waited 15 to 20 minutes. Not one employee acknowledged my presence while they moved as slowly as possible and we’re having inappropriate personal conversations. There were a couple enpkoyees that were doing nothing. The one guy that was making the sandwiches was concentrating more on conversation than his job. Two people walked in at the same time as me, stood around for a few minutes and then placed an order and got their order before me when mine had been submitted online at least 15 minutes earlier. Multiple other people were waiting and there was no acknowledgment to them either. Not sure I will ever be back. I have about 20,000 accumulated points but will have to use elsewhere. Corporate office should be notified about this particular franchise...

It’s Sunday evening. A situation has arisen that beckons me to do something special for a very dear friend in this moment. Things are pretty much closed so where can I go? Then a thought crossed my mind…. Hey Siri, is Firehouse Subs open? And she responded in the affirmative. So out I went and asked for a ham and Swiss with everything on it. It may not seem like much but in this moment it was everything. The kids at the counter, were no doubt eyeing the clock, wondering if this workday would ever be over an yet here they are on a misty, dusky Sunday evening still working, still preparing on the off chance that someone might come in. To you I say Thank You. You will never know how much a simple sandwich can mean to a person trying to comfort his friend in an hour when every minute feels like eternity. Thank you for being there and somehow please know that your job, your simple act of kindness while doing your job is much much more than the sandwich itself…. Which, btw, was very...
