I took my daughter to Sakura on a Saturday night. The weather was getting bad and there were only a few tables of people. I ordered hot tea and we both ordered Miso soup. My hot tea must have just come from warm tap water because it was not remotely hot. Same with the Miso Soup. This item obviously came from the same dried packages you can get at Ingles. The tofu was tiny and obviously dehydrated. Also, mine wasn't even stirred enough to not have clumps of the dried mix in the bottom of the bowl. My daughter ordered steak and broccoli with fried rice. The steak was not a good quality meat and was incredibly over cooked and under seasoned. The "fried rice" was actually under cooked white rice with peas and carrots in it. It had very little seasoning and was actually still crunchy. I ordered a salad with ginger dressing. I was served a big plate of yucky lettuce that looked like it came from a bag with julienne cut carrots and about 5 grape tomatoes cut in half. The ginger dressing was sickeningly sweet with very little ginger flavor at all. The bulk of the salad was just wasted yucky lettuce that I wasn't interested in eating. I ordered the vegetable tempura appetizer that says it has 8 pieces of vegetables on the menu. I asked to just have broccoli instead of a variety. Apparently broccoli is more valuable because they only brought me 6 pieces. Also, their "tempura" consists of "southern fried" with panko. No tempura batter was used. Finally, I had also ordered the one thing I knew they did well. The chicken pot stickers. These are actually very good. Unfortunately, the waitress did not write down our order and totally forgot them. By the time they came, after I asked for them, it was so late we just got them to go. Overall, a very mediocre to disappointing meal. Sorry I wasted my time and money here. It won't...
Read moreIf you would have asked me before last week what I thought, my review would have been different. Hadn't been in there in a while. It was pretty busy, and the staff acted like they didn't have a clue. I even mentioned to my daughter that the tension in there was making my anxiety go sky high! I mean it was so thick in there you could have cut it with a knife! As we ordered, mentioned we'd be paying separate. Bill came. I paid. The waiter (who they said only worked 1 maybe 2 days a week) didnt know how to use the card machine. Charged her card for both of us...twice. Of course, as a teen, there wasn't enough to cover THEIR screw up. Long story short, they gave us hell because they didnt know what they were doing and acted like it was our fault! They can't train their employees to do their job correctly and it was such a hassle getting our bank straightened out. It was my worst experience I've ever had at ANY public place! I will NEVER return! That I promise! I shouldnt have to take my anxiety meds just because I decide to go eat and spend time with my kid! They have a very similar menu and the food quality at Asaka in the Walmart shopping center on 4 seasons. The drive is further for me...but at least our credit won't be...

Ordered to go pho, got to say it met the criteria however, it fell flat mostly. The broth was ok but unremarkable. The noodles were packaged with the condiments which were beansprouts, and jalapeño. Surprisingly there was no basil. The condiments in packages were hoisen sauce and some soy sauce. Overall the chicken was tough and cubed (normally I have had it shredded which makes it more tender). The noodles were clumped together and over cooked. Not my favorite, won't have it again. For the price, wow, not really worth it. Sad, because Pho is an amazing dish normally; executed without care though, it may as well be packaged Ramen. Quite the disappointment.
On a later development after writing the original review, both of us got sick with nausea and vomiting later that night. I called the restaraunt and told them. It seems to be an anomalie, but two people getting very very sick from their food. Would not recommend at all I change it to a 0 star with a warning if there was such a thing. Manager refuses to answer, and hasn't...
