Marshalls — Local services in Hermiston

First time in to Marshalls, lots of clothes in that store probably the best stocked Marshall’s I have seen in the 5 years I’ve spent obsessed with Marshall’s when I lived in Spokane. So I’m in desperate need for an outfit as my daughter had thrown up on herself and I’d forgotten an extra set of clothes for her. I run in, thinking I’d grab an outfit and be out real quick. I head straight to the clearance and I see this adorable mini mouse dress. Next to it I see a plain pink shirt with a tag that says mini mouse I check the tags and they go together they were the same item number on each of the pieces. I look at the overall dress and I see no price tag. The only price tag I see is the $5.00 price tag. I thought ok cool makes sense they go together for sure. They are the same size also. So I put the item(s) together head to the front and all I can think of is trying to get out really fast I need to get my daughter these clothes asap. On my way up spot a peppa pig book in the line and I check to see if maybe any bluey books were in the stack. I proceed to check out two, where a gentleman rings me out, I pay and as he is about to hand me the item he sees a separate tag on the dress and says oh I need to ring you up for this other item. I said ok I do want to point out these items are the same item it is a set. He says ok I will get my manager. Gets the manager the manager automatically has an attitude and misunderstands the clerk. She thinks I’m returning the items and we both told her no. She doesn’t ask me what happened or give me the chance to explain. She starts explaining that she needs to charge me for both the items… I said absolutely not, they are one outfit that goes together it is a two piece set. The original tag says $10.99 the tag they printed off on the overall dress is $12.99. Now there are 3 prices and instead of charging me the original price for the two piece she charges me the $12.99 it wasn’t that big of a deal but she kept going on and on about how I must have done something wrong and that I need to pay the price, she tried to make me return the items and not even purchase them. I told her I was just trying to get my daughter some clothes as she threw up on herself, I need to leave she kept confusing me about how much she was going to charge or why. She was calm but I told her “just because your voice is calm does not make you any less rude” she says “I’m the manager here” she proceeded to go over her crazy explanation and try to get me to return the items. I had literally just purchased them. I actually had to ask her to stop talking and ring me out. I explained again I’m in a hurry my daughter just threw up please just ring me out charge me for all three tags I don’t care just ring me out as she just stands there after I told her the situation because she would not stop talking! She said “well then you’re just going to have to return these items right now!” I said “I need these clothes my daughter just threw up, if I had to stand here while you refunded it I might as well purchase these items so I can leave so just ring me out!” She kept talking again saying I needed to return the shirt… I said “It is taking everything in me to not just walk out right now and you can keep my money and the items, this is ridiculous!” Then after she starts the process she was asking for ID to return the items I said I don’t even have my wallet in here I was just trying to grab something quickly and get out! She ends up just charging me the “difference” which the original price was $10.99 and she charged me $12.99… My heart was beating so fast I just wanted to run! She rings me up hands me the overalls and the book and holds on to the shirt… I said “what I need the shirt it is an outfit I need a full outfit for my daughter!” After all that, I was finally able to leave but that was probably the worst EVER experience I have ever had at any store in my life! Accusing me of stealing I’m just disgusted! To the manager: you may be the “manager” that does not allow you to be insulting and...

I just love shopping here. You get nice name brand items for a fraction of the original price. When i go to pay im always amazed at how little the total is . You get so much for your money.
