Hesperia Leisure League — Local services in Hesperia

Leisure League thrift store has been one of my favorite thrift stores for years but under new management in recent months it has deteriorated. New lady managing this building on Walnut and she's not real friendly. She has also raised the prices too high. I noticed they ran an ad in the paper recently as they were having a huge sale with everything half price. Think it was a sidewalk sale. Anyway, they probably had to do that for the first time ever because the store was overstocked. There was so much furniture in the back room I don't know how they could have taken any more donations. And the prices were ridiculously high for furniture that was beat up, needed sanding down and refinished! Nothing selling because the prices are too high. Last 3 trips I made there I left empty handed. I can go to Walmart and buy new for less! Hope things change. And sooner rather than later. Hate to lose one of my favorite stores! PS THIS IS A CASH...

Came here on a Saturday ladie told me 20 bucks for two tall glass stands I told her I'd pick them up Monday so I get here and the same ladie tells me NO! 20 each I should know I put the tag on myself then with no respect I hear the other ladie say " well you get a lot of stiffs around here " but I kept my cool my brother told me to always respect your elders no matter what crazy part is I was a loyal shopper spent lots of money in this place and today I planned to spend the 500$ in my pocket to buy some things for my new place so much for being loyal to the small...

Remember that the employees here are volunteers. They devote their time to help the store, which helps our community. For one, they provide scholarships to high school students for college. They have to weed through the donations, separate the junk from the sellable things, wash, dry, hang, and price everything, on their own time. I love ❤ this store, and their reason for being here.
