Drove up here for work to visit a different store in the area, saw the sign and thought I’d stop in for lunch.
I was not disappointed. I didn’t even have expectations, but even if I did, they would have been exceeded. Can’t beat 99¢ for a taco, but then you add in that they have like six different meats available (pastor, birria, chorizo, buche, lengua, carnitas) AND they’re all good. Must be a family recipe. The chorizo and birria in particular are excellent.
Be warned, this isn’t the type of place that has table service, just the type that has open seating and really good tacos.

   Read moreI had only been here a few years ago with a friend, and at the time the tacos were amazing. Some of the best I've had in the high desert. But I came back recently and was extremely disappointed. Tacos were very greasy and had no flavor besides the slightest faint taste of old rotting meat. I literally gagged as I was chewing the food. I also smelled the grease that was dripping out of the aluminum foil from the tacos and it smelled like a butcher shop.
