Decent Asian market. It wasn't as well stocked as I was anticipating based on other positive reviews, but I may have just gone at a bad time. I also found that a lot of items were nearing their expiration date and slightly overpriced compared to a few local competitors. Items also weren't clearly/visibly labeled, which isn't really a huge deal, but it's a little unfun to play that kind of guessing game or back and forth price check with the owner if you are trying to stick to a budget.
I'd say overall that this place is definitely worth a quick pitstop if you want to pick up some staples (i.e. rice, tofu, vegetables), but I think you're better off shopping at a few other local oriental/asian markets near here for better prices on all other goods. Read moreBeing an amateur at shopping this genre of supermarkets, I went with expert shopper friend Uris. He originally exposed me to the awesomeness of these markets. This was my first time in patronage of this establishment and I was impressed. It had a large selection of fresh food items all the way down to every type of ginger teas imaginable. Of course, if you’re in the mood for pasta or noodles, this is the place to if you’d like to change things up a little. Looking forward to my next trip, so I can restock on my favorite new ginger teas…which I bought here last time...
