I had an Ok experience at Kambe. When I read all the reviews online, I imagined that I would have an outstanding visit, unfortunately it was far from it. I had scheduled my appointment about seven weeks in advance with this place. The lady on the phone, I spoke with told me they would put me down for my appointment and that they would call closer to the time of my appointment. When I didn't receive a call, I didn't think anything of it. On the day of my appointment, I arrived with my mom, future mother in law and grandmother. When I told them I had an appointment, they seemed shocked and flipped through their appointment book and realized they didn't have me down. That part didn't really bother me. They were not busy and told me I could still try on dresses and the women at the store proceed to tell me to look around. I proceeded to do so. They did not have very many wedding dresses to choose from. They had several bridesmaid and mother dresses but hardly any wedding dresses.They did not help me select any dresses, they did not offer to measure me to even see what size I was (considering this was my first time dress shopping) I picked out about 6 dresses that I liked and they put them in a room. They didn't even offer to help me get in my dresses, and my mother and I had to fumble around trying to figure out how to tie the back of one of the dresses. I was very disappointed that I was only able to fit into 1 dress out of the 6 I selected, and it was not because I am a big girl.. All of their dress sizes are made for very small women, size 12 and under which I found out is like a size 10 and under in women's clothing. When I asked if they had any bigger sizes they kind of just looked at me and went back to their desk. I felt like they were very snooty about me asking for a larger size than a 12. It wasn't until my mom asked her again that she took the initiative to look through her stock and was able to come up with one more dress I could try on. Another downside about my visit is that I thought the lighting in the fitting rooms were very dim, too dim for a store where you are trying on dresses... it would be nice to see what the dress looks like in real light not dimmed light. I was completely amazed at the service received at this bridal shop. I needed a mother of the groom dress. I put off shopping because of my size. I was greeted at the door by the owner. She immediately had things in mind for me to try. She definitely had a talent for body shape and it was clear she had a wealth of experience to bring to the table. It became evident this was not a run of the mill shop. The seamstress made one little alteration that made all the difference in personalizing the fit and between the work two ladies both provided, I ended up feeling beautiful for my son’s special day. I have been highly recommending this business...

Purchased a prom dress and wedding dress from this shop. My prom dress was a beautiful 2 piece (long and shorter) corset back ball gown. Kambe tailored it and it was perfect. The wedding dress was a much simpler dress that they customized for us. The owner of the shop designs originals and carries some other designers. They have a somewhat limited selection, but still...
