Cashiers Candy Shop is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Cashiers, NC. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted not only by the smell good aroma of their reed diffusers but also by the warmest welcome from the staff. They make you feel like a part of their family from the get-go. One of the most charming aspects of this shop is their adorable dogs who also greet you as you walk in the door. It adds such a delightful touch to the whole experience! While AJones was an amazing experience itself the Cashiers Candy Shop is what stole my attention. The variety of candies they offer is impressive, catering to every sweet tooth imaginable. Their selection had the perfect range for all age groups.. even us adults. I found treats not only for myself, but for the whole family. They have beautiful packaging for gifts to cater to everyone, making it impossible to resist picking up a few extra goodies. I highly recommend stopping by Cashiers Candy Shop if you find yourself in the area. This store is beautifully decorated. It’s expensive but as a vacation special treat that’s ok, and we loved the resident doggies. We took three well behaved teenaged girls in to look around and I felt like we were hovered over and the owner was just short of abrasive, almost like she was suspicious that we were likely to steal something. Why create a wonderland of a store and then make people feel uncomfortable shopping there? I mentioned this to our host and she said it’s been a common complaint so at least we weren’t singled out, but we won’t be back. FWIW, the man who did the gorgeous landscaping around the building was very friendly.

We had to stop when we saw the mailbox shooting out bubbles today. Daisy and Dash the dogs were a highlight. Great customer service by the owner. She made my kids feel welcomed.
