Worse Mexican Food Ever! Food Poisson. The chimichanga was not even cooked, soggy cold queso all over an uncooked tortilla with uncooked chicken. The grilled chicken on the taco salad was raw. The condiment station was warm and never on ice. Sour cream was warm, runny, and rotten to the point we thought it was ranch. The rice was instant and the beans were canned. The bar tenders were expo-ing all the food with no gloves, hairnet, mask, apron, rag, nothing; literally had the customers credit card in one hand while trying to spoon sour cream with another with fingers in everything. Complete food handling and cooking nightmare. Worse food and worse service ever in a Mexican restaurant and ever in the mountains. They took our rotten food and told us to leave then still charged for food they took from us. Then they challenged and insulted my wife wearing her mask who is an At-Home Physical therapist who solely treats at risk patients that she will get sued for if she brings it into their homes. We don't care if you believe a mask is anti-freedom over pro-patriotism and don't wear a mask. It's a free country. But please realize our livelihoods are at risk if we don't. Read moreI have never written a review before however I felt obligated to do so this time. I went to this restaurant last week while on vacation. The food portions were small but reasonable for the price, quality of the food was good, service was horrible. The waitress, a young girl, had the worst attitude. Ordered a specific item from their menu which was brought out incorrectly. When told the food was not what I asked for, she rolled her eyes and walked away. Due to the eye rolling and other issues, I opted not to leave a tip for the first time in my life. She most definitely was not deserving of one. Paid the exact amount of my bill online. My credit card company showed the transaction amount including a 20% tip. I disputed it with my credit card company. When I called the restaurant today to advise them of the theft/fraud, the manager/owner, Sonia, seemed to not care that her employee/most likely family member, had committed fraud. Very disappointing that a small business has no cares in the world to discipline or correct the issue. Make sure your transaction is processed with the correct amount when paying your bill! Ordered in person and waited an hour, which was fine as they were busy. What was not fine was after reviewing the order with their bar tender, and confirmed all items our family requested, they failed to check when handing us the take out.
We did review that everything ordered was properly shown on the receipt. I should’ve checked, however, it was very busy and there was no place to pull out every order to confirm.
Really wish the staff would take the time to review orders. Manager hung up on me when I called to inform them that we’d like a refund for the items we didn’t receive, then put their phone off the hook. Really doesn’t sit well tipping $34 on a take out order that was missing 3 of 14 orders. Of the items we did receive they were good, just wish they had some quality control measures.
