Chattooga Gardens — Local services in Highlands

Excited to stop here on last day of vacation, saw several plants on their online inventory list I was interested in for pre-bonsai trees. They had lots of trees, not organized very well. Nobody offered me or my wife any help, including the owner who walked past me. When I finally asked a staff member about a specific Japanese Maple, the guy said " they're all spread out, it could be anywhere.." He gave me this look like I'd just ruined his day, then said he'd look around... It was obvious he didn't know where to look. I went to the check out area, and nobody was there. Much of their trees couldn't be accessed because of large mud puddles. I finally found a nice Hornbeam, but no staff or owners were around. I just gave up and left with nothing. Wife and I both thought it was rather strange. I gave 2 stars instead of 1, only because they had a lot of stock, and the prices I saw were reasonable. I deliver plants too this place from time to time. Since I drive a truck delivering plants I see and deal with many nurseries, this place is by far one of the nicest places I go to. Very nice friendly people of staff. Very nice selection of plants and some of the nicest pots for plants I’ve seen.
