Vacation towns tend to attract folks with money - and Cashiers in no exception. In the surrounding hills, one can honestly say "Thar's money in them thar hills" (money made elsewhere and spent on nice real estate here).

All that said, these towns have coffee shops that compete to attract "the beautiful people" down from the hills. This is one of those places.

Behind the counter, there is an abundance of attitude - from the gentleman barista (who doles out smiles with remarkable infrequency) and the others who come across dour and not at all concerned with service being something to deliver with pleasantries.

The three times we visited, it almost seemed as though our orders were somewhat inconvenient.

It's chic inside. there's a jaguar skin in front of the fire-place. The idea is that here is where the well-to-do's come for their cup o' joe.

And, sure enough. The popped collars, sockless loafers and go-to-hell pink or lime-green shorts all belie a life-style that is attracted to Bucks Coffee - very likely to share their own clinched and dour outlooks.

But... - I digress.

Truth be told, the barista pulled a decent quad tall latte - and expertly...

I’ve been coming to Buck’s Coffee Shop in Cashiers for years, and it just keeps getting better. The atmosphere, the coffee, the service—it all continues to improve year after year. It’s amazing to see how much love and care has gone into making this place even more special over time. Always a favorite stop! You can now find more than just coffee. šŸ˜‰ ā˜•ļø šŸ·

Buck’s Coffee Shop in Cashiers is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles, the comforting aroma of fresh-brewed coffee, and a cozy, rustic charm that instantly makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting—perfect for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a book. Their coffee is exceptional—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The pastries and breakfast items are fresh and delicious, with just the right amount of Southern flair. I wish I had better pictures but obviously I go to enjoy the delicious pastry and coffee.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through the mountains, Buck’s is a must-stop. Highly...

over the top rude. I arrived at a slightly busy time. Sat down at a table to answer an email. I had not been sitting there for more than 7 minutes. I was then asked to come out side. Very confused followed the man outside. He asked if I was planning on buying something since other people were in line. Telling me I need to buy something the tables were filling. I tried to explain I was planning on purchasing a coffee and a sandwich. The man told me 'he had heard that before, you need to leave if you are not going to buy anything'. As I am telling him I just needed to answer an email. I'm very understanding but this was just rude. the best part was walking out seeing 3 tables with 4 chairs at each table. the tables were clean and ready to be sat at...... Handle things better there guy. honestly more upset I wasn't able to get my coffee and sandwich. like hello buddy why would I just go there for wifi. Its 2019 I HAVE A HOME WITH...

We stopped for coffee after paddle boarding. Great service and coffee! They have wine too but did not have any.

We came by for coffee and breakfast this morning. While busy, the cafe had ample seating and the service relatively quick. They serve the usual assortment of coffee beverages and limited pre-made bakery, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches that are toasted upon request. We really enjoyed our coffee, but the turkey tomato pesto paninis were pretty gross. Part of my bread was stale, and the sandwich was absolutely smothered in some type of thick layer of processed cheese. It was supposed to come with mozzarella, but it tasted more like a wad of American Cheese. I can't comment on how the pesto was, as we couldn't taste it over the cheese. I doubt this was a one-off as both sandwiches we ordered had the same problem. Overall, I'd say come for the coffee but skip the food.
