I usually like coming to this store since its walking distance from my home. For the most part, i really like crew they have. Joe always help out and has a great personality. He is great with his crew too. I'm giving a 1 star rating because of karen. This is not the first time where she has been rude and i try to avoid coming in when she is at the store. She has no customer relation skills. Bossy to her staff and would rather take over than teach them on how to fix a mistake. The first encounter i had with her was when i purchased a tool (forgot i had one) opened the package but never got to use it after i ended up seeing the same tool in my garage. I went and returned the item and karen accused me of using it and returning it back. Yesterday i stopped in at the store hoping to fix another unknown issue on my car. Bought a set of wheel bearing and axles, thinking that was the issue. Unfortunately, they didnt have 1 other axle, so i asked if they could call in to other stores in the area. Raritan had one, so she insisted that i paid for the item in hillsborough and so i did. Went home to take apart the original parts from my car just to find out that it wasnt any of the parts i bought (never opened any of them) so i immediately went back to the store to return the items including the axle i never got to pick up in raritan. I mentioned to karen to not forget to refund me for the other axle. At first, she said yes i know, but when the refund transaction was done, she did not refund me the other axle. I asked why she didnt refund me for it, she says with an attitude " well, i dont know if you picked up the part at the raritan store!" I said, why didnt you ask if i did or call the store and again she said the same thing. She told me i would have to run to the raritan store and have them refund me there! I told her she insisted on having me pay the item in hillsborough, but does not want to refund me there?!! At this point im really upset. I came into the store looking for an oil cap for my car that the dealership forgot to put back on. Unfortunately, they did not have it, but from the moment that I got there Andrew offered suggestions of where I may find it. When I was unable to find a place that had it, he tried looking online. At the end, he was able to think outside the box and located something from the store to work as a cap and placed it for me so that I could drive the car safely back home and to the dealership. At checkout, when I asked for my military discount, which is 10%, the cashier began the entry, but the manager demanded ID. The discount amount was approximately $1.16. When I questioned the demand for ID, the manager dug in his heels and actually got nasty. Thank God that my veteran status was on my driver's license, if it wasn't, this manager stated that he would've told me to come back when I got it.
