Extremely unhappy with the way situations in this development are being handled. The most recent situation being their new and updated policy on the Electric Vehicle charging stations. When initially moved in, for starters was delayed over 3 months just to get in, upon move in date in December of 2021 amenities were not ready but were promised to be up and coming. Due to delays with construction these amenities were subsequently delayed even more, some not being available until halfway through the lease. Now, with lease renewal, rent has gone up significantly, just with one year, keeping in mind that half of the year we had to deal with construction and other structural inconveniences. On top of a rent raise, an āAmenityā fee of 40 dollars has been added per month. But the issue that threw me over the edge was the latest situation occurring Saturday, October 29, 2022 with the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. Upon signing initial lease, I was told that charging stations would be of NO charge, which was one major plus for this association, and my decision to move to this complex. Keeping in mind that new competitors in the area such as Amwell Terrace offers this free of charge. With no notice, no email from corporate, and no email from management, a charge was added to these charging stations of 5 USD per hour of charge. A price that is extremely outrageous. A full charge of my EV came out to 56 dollars per charge given that the charging station charges the car at a slow rate of 30A/hour, subsequently needing approximately 10hrs to fully charge. I contacted ChargePoint, the company that provides the chargers and they too agreed that 5 dollars/ hours was very overpriced, and that the owners of the charging stations (Hillsborough village) could price it to whatever they want. This is a situation that was escalated to management, and their response from corporate was excused and dismissed as a simple āpolicy changeā. As stated previously I am outraged as they are now charging a 40 dollar monthly āamenityā fee, and we are still being charged separate to use an amenity, like the charging stations. Upon speaking to neighbors, unfortunately, I am not the only one experiencing these kind of problems and unhappiness with this association. This is an issue that needs to be addressed, and it serves as an example as to how this organization does business and treats...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think I can speak for plenty at this point. Regardless of how well maintained the property is, weāre so disappointed and DONE at how OFTEN these fire alarms have gone off in one single year!! This is mainly happening within the elevator apartments. Alarm has gone off either very late at night or early in the morning. And itās yet to be fixed! They went off twice this week(including today at 745am new years day) and weāre over it. Itās such an inconvenience for people with babies, pets, disabilities, etc. and the best part? Our building elevator hasnāt even been fixed in 2 weeks!! We feel like even the fire apartment is tired of coming here so often. Not to mention, thereās been about 2 gas leaks already where our building REEKS, yet, the alarms donāt go off for that?? Someone calls instead. They also ātestāthese fire alarms every other week and sometimes donāt even notify or better yet, give us same day notices!!! Firefighters say they canāt find anything but that thereās definitely something triggering it thatās not being properly fixed. One day, God forbid, a real emergency will happen & no one will take it seriously because people are not even leaving their units anymore!! We definitely wonāt be extending...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLived here 2.5 years in a garage apartment. Pros: The apartments themselves are nice. Pool was great. Maintenance is pretty prompt.
Cons: Frequently changing and questionable managersā¦Manager Ricardo signed for an expensive package of ours and never put it into a locker. He quit at the same time so you can assume where our package went⦠š§
One of our main gripes while living here was the dog feces⦠everywhere. My toddler and I would be outside everyday and I would see feces of all sizes all over the grass and on the sidewalks, and yes, even inside the clubhouse. Iāve seen dog poop and pee in the clubhouse floors and sofa (gross). One time my sonās toy car happened to get into the grass and dog poop was smeared over its wheels. Even my sister who lives in Larken over at Autumn Ridge noticed how gross the grass was and was shocked that our management here allows this. She couldnāt walk her new puppy in our grass since itās not yet vaccinated and thereās feces everywhere. Management never did anything about it (not even a reminder to residents) despite...
