Ace Hardware of Hilton Head — Local services in Hilton Head Island

So I went into this store, looking for a rubber mallet and they did not have any. This was the third store that did not have a rubber mallet and I need one to finish some work that I’m doing on the island now I have one at my shop, but that’s an hour each way and good traffic Point being I would not be able to go get it and return today so I seen one sitting on the counter and obviously it was a store used item I asked them can I buy that one they reply no I was like oh man they’re still looking through. Recently tried to install a new thermostat. Of course I messed it up completely and ended up blowing a fuse in the unit itself. Found that out after two hours on the phone with customer support for the thermostat. The guy assured me that any hardware store would have it. Of course no one did besides ace! After driving to two other hardware stores we called them and ask if they had it. They pulled the fuse off the shelf for us, grabbed a tool to help us change the fuse since we mentioned we were having a hard time getting the old one out and even found and installed a new battery in the garage door remote for us! Beware any women to go to the store there is a gentleman in the front desk that basically told me off as a woman they do not treat women well, just to do a return. He came physically out of the store and Continually kept telling me off.
