A major disappointment for this to be a Hilton brand. The rooms were nice but the disappointment was with the house keeper for our room. Tonya was her name. We checked in late at night for a two night stay. Once we got everything unloaded and settled in our room. All I wanted to do was shower and go to sleep. The shower had hair along the wall and soap dish. Made front desk aware of the situation. Was told that the hotel was sold out and no one to clean was available. I was told that a note would be left for the housekeeper to clean it first thing the next morning and our room would be compensated for the night. No such luck. Went to the desk the next morning only to find out the agent on duty at that time had know idea of what I was talking about but did get on the walkie right away and contacted Tonya ( our housekeeper) and asked her to clean the bathroom. We left the hotel for about 5 hrs only to return to the same nasty hairs in our shower. I then returned to the front desk only this time in not so nice of a tone of voice and demanded answers. Tonya was then called again and asked to meet at the room to clean the shower. She stated to the front desk agent that she had already cleaned it. I then said then tell me why are the same hairs that I complained about the night before still in there in the exact same spots. She then said she only cleaned the bottom of the tub not the shower nor the shower wall. I then asked her when you clean the toilet do you only clean the outside or do you clean the inside too.. she became upset with me took a napkin and got the hairs from the soap dish and off the wall and said now it’s gone. I flipped!! Went back to the front desk and the HK Supervisor just happens to be there and heard what was going on sent someone else to spray and clean the shower walls and the tub with bleach. Jose was very concerned and helpful of making sure that the bathroom was cleaned. As for Tonya you need to be fired for half cleaning these hotel rooms. COVID-19 is out here and your half cleanliness isn’t helping protect the spread of it. If you half clean the shower I wonder if you’re even changing the sheets and wiping other things down like you say you are. The best and most rememberable part about our stay was Nikki and Kaylaylah. These to are the nicest and sweetest. I could see their friendly smiles through the mask they were wearing. They we so very helpful with directions and things to do in the area. They were always prompt and courteous. Thank you guys for making our stay better. You both...
Read moreThe staff is very nice and friendly. They follow the rules given them by the owner but do it in a pleasant way. My daughter asked for water on arrival and was told they only were allowed to give us two-which they had. I was told I could have one snack for all three of us -not the usual as my husband is a lifetime diamond member and we generally can have all the water and snacks we want-he spends more time (and money) in Hiltons than at home and most hotels recognize this-again, owners rules not the staff’s fault. Out of five nights, our room was only made up once-we didn’t complain -it saved us money actually, as I usually tip the maid but in this case iI didn’t feel it was necessary. The elevator was broken on arrival and we carried our bags upstairs-the nice young man did offer to help but we declined. The first room we were in was 90 degrees! You couldn’t change the thermostat (the young man gave it a good try). So, we were moved across the hall. This place is old and certainly needs work! Breakfast was sparse, so we only ate it the first day. The orange juice was diluted and tasted funny and the egg patty was cold. Yogurt was fine-that’s what I ended up eating. I actually was confused and thought this was the Hilton property I stayed at before-it wasn’t! The other is much nicer and about the same price (I guess being cheap worked out at the other hotel). My daughter -an influencer who is used to the best of everything wasn’t pleased lol. “mom we are not poor-why are we staying here?” I actually did do it to save my points -I paid cash-it was around $100 a night-you get what you pay for!! Would I stay here again? Hell, No! Was the staff nice-absolutely! None of this was their fault! The owner needs to recognize customers who support Hilton better, make sure breakfast has the usual Hilton items and make sure things are updated and repaired. The property needs a complete makeover-it was like something out of the 60’s. There was a couple small spots of blood on the cover-I quickly changed it before my daughter got there -she’s germaphobic and wouldn’t have stayed there had she seen it! It was a very small amount, but I know her! She informed me she stays at much better places lol-again, the cost was not that of a resort, so I’m not comparing this to the Waldorf Astorias (which are really nice but...
Read moreThis location was the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever experienced. Rooms are very small. Queen beds are more like a full size, with springs that hurt my back. Pillows were cheap, thin, and smelled. The brown 1970s carpet is absolutely filthy. The AC units are old and unable to cool or keep up with the humidity. Our first room had wet carpet, and damp bed linens. Someone was smoking weed in a room nearby; even the hallway stunk. CSR at the front desk was very nice and offered to change our room. We moved to the second floor. Immediately after opening the door to 215, a roach ran out. (If we had somewhere else to go, we would have.) The bathroom sinks at this location are in the bedroom, outside the bathrooms, so when you wash your hands during the night, you wake everyone in the room. The walls are thin as well; I heard full conversations from other guests next door and in the hallway. There is no water pressure on the second floor. It trickles during peak times, at best. On the second morning of my stay, a housekeeper walked into my room while I was in bed. No knock, no question, just walked in. She apologized and left, only to return and knock loudly 20 minutes later. I told here we don’t need room service. 30 minutes later, another knock, more forceful, and a male voice announced, “Housekeeping!” I thought it had to be a joke. I called the front desk. Apparently, when the CSR changed our room, she also changed the dates of our stay, and the staff kept intruding and knocking because they thought we were checking out. Regardless, no staff member should ever enter a room unannounced at 8:00 AM. We even had the DND door hanger on the door. Breakfast was okay, but there wasn’t enough seating. Lastly, and most noteworthy, both my husband and I noticed rash-like marks on our legs, ankles and bends of arms on our trip home. They were bed bug bites. We had to see a doctor and get prescriptions to treat them. I have never had this happen at a Hampton Inn before....
