I like to begin with the positive when I submit a review:
My mom and I visited your lovely store in Harbourtown and a enjoyed a pleasant browsing experience: we were nicely greeted by 2 pleasant clerks, asked if we needed assistance, and were invited to browse without pressure to try-on, buy , etc
Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience in Wexford ,and it was not my first at this location . While visiting on 2 previous occasions (December 2021 & August 2022), I was completely ignored by the female clerk.
Most recently, I visited the store early last week (Jan 16 or 17, perhaps )to observe a very attractive and well dressed, middle aged blonde woman, wearing in a winter white suit, hurriedly leaving the store carrying an apparent package to mail. She made no attempt to greet us nor was I completely sure she worked there (at this point). She abruptly walked around my daughter (20), my mom (83) and I as we were inadvertently blocking her (apparent) desired pathway to the exit.
We heard people in the back room but nobody came out to assist us during our 10-15 minute stay. My mom, my daughter, and myself were alone in the store the entire time. As we were exiting, the same woman we had originally witnessed leaving, had returned. Again, she made no attempt to acknowledge us nor explain her absence or the absence of any additional employees. It was at this point I realized she worked there.
To be completely transparent, we are from the northeast and were dressed in lululemon exercise clothing. No words were exchanged. This being said, looks can be deceiving and generalizations are in very poor taste.
Perhaps it wasn’t generalizations about our appearance at all. Perhaps this store in Wexford simply caters to a small percentage of people and doesn’t need to sell their clothing inventory. Either way, I’ll spend my money elsewhere. There are many other beautiful boutiques nearby. It I want to buy Lilly Pulitzer, I can do so online, without the assistance of a sales clerk.

The trip to Hilton Head was a 20th wedding anniversary gift. I wanted to get something special to wear for dinner so I went to SM Bradford. However, On November 3, 2022 about 2;00 pm in the afternoon I went to this store only to have a very unpleasant experience. When I walked in I was the only customer in the store, The clerk was at the counter looking at her cell phone and never greeted or acknowledged my presence in the store. She pretended not to see me. I continued browsing anyway. About five minutes later three Caucasian women came in. The Caucasian clerk immediately came from behind the counter, very pleasantly greeted them and offered her assistance. After she returned to the counter I walked back and forth in front of the counter with several items in my hand and again she never looked up or acknowledged me. I immediately returned the items to the rack. I tapped on the counter to get her attention. I told her that since she blatantly ignored me, I would not be purchasing anything from the store! With a smug she said “Oh I’m sorry”. Again she never said how can I help you or anything that would feel that my shopping in the store was welcomed. I’m an African American woman and the treatment I received from this sales clerk was unacceptable. No person of color should have to experience this type of discrimination this day and time!!! I guess the store doesn’t mind seeing money walk out the door if it’s coming from people of color. The store should be ashamed of having such an employee representing their company! Unfortunately, I will no longer shop there or refer this store...

After about 4 wears in our winter southern climate the sweater was already 'balling' and collecting white fluff (very visible on a black sweater). We don't need to wear hot sweaters too often. Contacted the manufacturer Lily Pulitzer several times to request a replacement and to express my dissatisfaction. All they did was waffle an apology (via AI) and referred me back to the store where I purchased it. It is a six hour drive to the store. Contacted the store - they have not had the courtesy to return the call, even though I left a message for the owner. This was probably one of the most disappointing expensive purchases I ever made.
