I rarely go to this Aldi because it's not convenient. But I always find things that I haven't seen at the Chapel Hill, Douglasville store so I appreciate the variety. It's adequately stocked, though not always the cleanest looking and I rarely see associates outside of the check out line.
As a chain, I love ALDI! They are all over Europe and I enjoy the products from other countries and cultures. I have been shopping at ALDI for years and have literally found less than 10 products that I wouldn't buy again or recommend. When my children were young the had fun picking out things they had never tried before.
There are some things to know before you go to ALDI:
1 - You will need to have a quarter to get a cart. The carts are in a corral next to the door and they are linked together. You put your quarter in the slot and the link separates releasing your cart. When you leave and return your cart to the corral your quarter pops out.
2 - You won't find many national brands. I have found the quality to be as good OR BETTER than over 90% of the national equivalents I have used.
3 - The products are shelved in the cartons. This does come in handy for packing boxes! It also results in space saving so the stores are smaller!
4 - There are no baggers and none of those thin, plastic, t-shirt, grocery bags. The cashier tings your items and puts them back in your cart. You may purchase grocery bags if you like, but may also bring your own. Or you may use the empty boxes I mentioned before.

Whether it's their pantry staples like pasta and canned goods or their fresh produce and meats, I've found that I can stock up on essentials without breaking the bank.
Another aspect that I appreciate is ALDI's commitment to sustainability. Their efforts to reduce waste through initiatives like reusable bags and streamlined packaging align with my values as a conscientious shopper. It's reassuring to know that I can shop affordably while minimizing my environmental impact.

Read moreI really love this Aldi's for its great prices and the small store. I do not always feel like a marathon walk, which is required in superstores, so it feels more like a corner store to me. Honestly, I keep going back for the great quality foods and the great prices. They have grass fed beef, avocado oil, grass fed butter and organic eggs and much, much more!
They change the home goods items they sell seasonally, which keeps it interesting. I like hunting for new bargains. Their foods from Germany are impossibly good. How can they even sell doppelkeks for $2? I don't know, but I love them.
I only wish that their kebabs, which are seasonal, were year round products. My husband cannot eat much spice and this is one item he can eat, so I tend to buy 10 boxes when they are in season.
Aldi's used to only take cash, but now that they take credit cards, our store has become too busy! But that's okay. Shopping at Aldi's, I usually walk out with 4 bags of groceries and it costs me half of what I would pay in a Superstore.
If you haven's been before, try it! And bring a quarter and some bags to bag your own groceries. If they...
