Blue Train Books Used Book Store — Local services in Hogansville

It was okay. I gave them a 30 dollar book set in hopes that I'd have enough credit to get a book. I picked this store because I read that their credit system was generous. However, the woman there said she wasn't sure how much credit she could give, so I'd have to leave my name and number. I told them I didn't live in town, so the credit at a later date wouldn't do any good. I said they could just keep them.

I then found two mass market paperback books that she said would be a dollar fifty. BUT there's a 15 dollar card minimum. They said there was an ATM close by, but I wasn't going to pay an ATM fee and withdraw the ATM minimum. I ended up leaving the books I'd picked.

She was nice and there was a large selection, but it just seems inefficient with the credit system. I feel like for what I gave them, the dollar fifty books would have been more than a fair trade. Worth a look, but I'd donate elsewhere if you're interested in the credit and don't plan to come back because the credit...

Recently discovered Blue Train while trying to fill out some of my personal HC collections. It's definitely a place you'll want to stop in and have some time on your hands to look around. Very clean and charming corner store that is shared with an antique shop also.

The owners, a local husband and wife, are very knowledgeable and passionate about books, and their preservation, which they are also passing on to a younger generation of assistants they have in store. They offered a lot of information, and have quite an extensive inventory. They also take the time to clean and help preserve each book that comes in to their shop.

They offered to be on the lookout for certain titles I was interested in, and also took great care in cleaning and outfitting several of my own books with dust jacket protectors for a very minimal price. Definitely a place I'll be returning to, and would highly recommend, even if it takes a bit of a drive to get there.... it'll...
