I came upon this place at the guidance of a kindly old man who told me I could replenish dwindling my store of victuals there. The moment I stepped inside I was struck with a great astonishment at the wonders my eyes beheld, though it was, at the same time, a stark reminder of my accidental banishment to this plane. We have nothing like this in my world. Not even the Great Market of Xud can approach the scope and variety of comestibles laid out before me. The entire edifice appeared to be almost entirely taken up by one great hall, will row upon row of the wares of the place, organized thoughtfully by type and so forth, so as one walked through, the effect was to make one feels as though one were a Lyrene emperor of old, with all the riches of the empire laid out before him. One might sup upon a bit of this or that, as sundry sweetmeats, breads, the flesh of a myriad of beasts, and strange vegetables of diverse lands, as his fancy struck him, for several moons, and still never eat of the same thing twice. Such wonders! What plenty! Such a kind and courteous staff! Why, this place could feed my whole Great House for a winter's time in such a manner as we had never known! Unfortunately, like everything else in this strange world, my offers of gold and electrum were met with puzzlement, and they would take only the strange paper script favored in these lands. of which I have none. I contemplated drawing my great axe and putting the place to the sack, as I saw none armed, but thought better it, as the staff was exceedingly kind, and it would have been ill fortune as a guest in their hall. Plus, the manager gave me something called a bananer and a cup of coffee, and sent me on my way. Once standing outside that place, bananer in hand, I vowed that if somehow I could ever reopen the gate between my world and this, I would bring my whole people here, and pledge fealty to the manager, who must be a powerful lord indeed to command such wealth, and yet so just and fair a man as to extend his kindness to a lost traveler such as I. Surely he has need of keen blades and strong...
Read moreI probably shop here more than anyone else in the area.
Staff is extremely well trained in terms of customer service when it comes to helping you find items and being overall friendly and solving problems as fast and effectively as possible.
They have a fairly large selection of items. Some of their items are overpriced but to be fair the extra you’re paying is because you’re having a overall better shopping experience in terms of customer service, cleanliness, etc compared to cheaper stores.
Their watermelon i have to say is usually low quality while being overpriced. You’re better off going to Walmart for watermelon at a higher quality at a lower price but sometimes big y has some good shipments every once in a while. I wish they would do this more often. I’ve also found the quality in their medjool dates to be low. The potatoes and oranges here are always very good quality I have to say.
Their new multi self check out area is extremely convenient but it’s sad that so many customers are allowed to go to self checkout with an entire cart full of food completely defeating the purpose of what seems to be a area for people with less items but I could be wrong. Due to covid restrictions they seem to have fixed this problem by creating two separate lines.
The customer service booth is excellent in providing customer service for returns and any issues. The pizza here is my favorite and they have a great sandwich shop. The rotisserie chicken and the wing bar are also always amazing. The deli is also excellent. I’m a frequent shopper here and I have very little complaints. My only real complaint would be some lack in fruit quality and their men’s bathrooms is sometimes poorly maintained but I’ve been seeing improvement. Overall a...
Read moreI went there to receive a western union payment that someone had sent me and they told me that the western union stuff had completely changed and is all done online now. I had told them that I has the transfer number and amount and my ID, which is what I was told I needed when I had called them earlier. They told me that they didn't know where I had to go online or what I had to do. Then told me to sign up for an account with western union (which I didn't want to do) so that I could receive my payment. Atter signing up for an account with western union and them still not knowing where I was supposed to go to enter the info to get my money, the gentleman asked me if I had the transfer number, which I had already told him I had, but I said yes and gave him that, the amount and my ID. They asked me my name (which is on my and all ID's) asked me to spell it and then asked the amount again. They found it in the computer in about 30 seconds, so signing up for the account with western union wasn't actually necessary. They were very nice though throughout the whole process. I just think that if things change so drastically with something then all employees that may have to use it or help people with it, should be fully trained on the new changes, so that people like me don't have to do unnecessary tasks that they do not want/need to do. Again though, the customer service from them other than that...
